The Burning Crusade Hotfixes - Updated June 22

I am publishing this report to document the activities of Cheese GDKP, a raid organization operating under the guild Cheese Alliance on the WoW Anniversary servers.

Based on publicly available information from their Discord server, raid announcements, bidding platform, and website, the operation is managed by individuals including CHEESE, SNSTR, Aikos, Gwap, and Razz. The group organizes multiple raids every week across both Alliance and Horde and has built an entire ecosystem around external bidding, account balances, deposits, payouts, and withdrawals.

At first glance this may look like a normal GDKP. However, after reviewing the available information, it becomes clear that this system goes far beyond the traditional concept of players bidding gold for raid loot.

Instead of handling bids entirely inside the game, participants are directed to an external website where they maintain balances, place bids, receive raid payouts, deposit funds, and request withdrawals. Item values are presented in USD and the platform effectively functions as a marketplace where raid gear can be acquired through a balance system tied to real-world value.

The screenshots attached below show examples of USD-denominated item values, account balances, deposit and withdrawal functionality, raid payout announcements, website bidding activity, raid scheduling and recruitment, and instructions related to the platform’s use.

Players participating in these raids are reportedly spending hundreds of dollars on individual items, with some spending well over $1,000 in a matter of weeks to obtain near-BiS or full BiS gear. In many cases, participants are not even bidding directly with gold. Instead, gold is converted into website balances which are then used within a system where items are valued in USD.

One notable participant associated with this ecosystem was streamer Vnscool, who was reportedly banned after participating in these activities. Despite reports of buyers receiving account actions, the operation itself continues to run multiple raids every week with little interruption.

Beyond the obvious concerns regarding real-money trading, another issue deserves attention: the amount of trust participants are placing in a privately controlled third-party platform.

The website controls balances, deposits, payouts, and withdrawals. Players may be holding significant amounts of value within a system that exists entirely outside Blizzard’s control. If disputes occur, balances disappear, payments are reversed, accounts are restricted, or the platform shuts down, participants may have little recourse.

This report is not intended as a personal attack against ordinary players. Its purpose is to document how this operation functions and to warn players who may be considering participating. Anyone thinking about depositing money, converting gold into website balances, or spending large amounts of money on raid gear should understand the risks involved before doing so.

The evidence attached below consists of screenshots taken from publicly accessible sources related to Cheese GDKP and Cheese Alliance. Readers are encouraged to review the information themselves and reach their own conclusions.

If Blizzard chooses to investigate these activities, the information contained in this report may assist in understanding how the operation functions. Until then, players should be aware that participation in systems involving external balances, withdrawals, and USD-based raid item valuations may carry significant risks regardless of how established the organization appears to be.

For transparency and verification purposes, all screenshots are provided at the bottom of this report. The following screenshots were obtained from publicly accessible sources associated with Cheese GDKP and are included so readers can independently review the information presented and draw their own conclusions.

Please hotfix and add the Deathfrost enchant.

Deathfrost wasn’t available until Phase 5 in TBC Classic, during the second Midsummer event in 2022.

TBC Anniversary is a faster cadence and we will therefore not see Deathfrost during the entire expansion unless you add it now.

(Or decide to give us TBC Era realms at the end of its run, news on that would be great!)

Huge W move from Blizz, crazy speed on the quick fix. The TBC Hardcore community is super relieved this issue is already solved. You may have saved a lot of us from death!

Actually we just tested some more Bonfires on Hardcore TBC (NA Dreamscythe server) and we’re still seeing some Bonfires being bugged. Namely in Nagrand. Lvl 70 Druid just almost died to it, please keep fixing

So there’s just no enchantment this TBC run…sad.

When will there start to be bans for all the bots on TBC servers? Horde and alliance. Do we even have GM anymore to watch and ban these accounts? I see less and less community involvement from GMs, Community Managers resulting in more and more bots. Or will nothing be done?

Please hotfix the strange behavior of abilities on my bars, they pop up - or however to describe it - when thay go off Cooldown.

qol, balance, more loot, make heroics playable and give us some rewards like h+ in wotlk classic, at this point whatever change u make in tbc is welcome.

day 3 of akama being stuck in a dialoge with Vagath, SMV unable to layer.
