The anniversary realms are TBC realms.

edit: At least they will be eventually. Their sole purpose is to be TBC realms, they are just currently passing through vanilla to get there.

When (blizcon I believe?) they announced the anniversary realms they said they would be vanilla-TBC they didn’t make any mention of the words “era” or anything and they made no mention if the game would stop at TBC or continue to WotLK.

Yes I would love this with the ability to copy characters to an era too

It would be great to have max level copies of characters on different expansion era servers that we can always play

Ofc I know they’d charge for this but I wouldn’t mind paying

You and me both! Just because I don’t want to play TBC now doesn’t mean I never want to play it. TBC (and WotLK) should be available for people to play. Just because I’m an Era main player doesn’t mean I don’t wanna go vibe with some TBC content.

Sadly, we have no confirmation of this. Blizzard has been silent on this front, in spite of several threads asking about it, since the launch of Anniversary. I won’t actually make a character on any of these realms until they do confirm because I have zero desire to have my TBC progress auto-wiped again.

I think seasonal is absolutely fantastic for some people, but for many others we just want to have a character we can chill with when we wanna go do some content for any given expansion.

I think you misunderstand. Anniversary server’s are going to TBC per the Blizzcon announcement and roadmap image (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/guide/fresh-servers-roadmap-phases).

However, there is no current knowledge as to how long those servers will remain on TBC.

I remember seeing this. The problem, People are having is that, there is no mention of permanent server options for bc classic anniversary once it comes out.

I mean, it’s been confirmed we are going into tbc anniversary realms eventually. And It’s presumed wrath will follow. But, it’s like. If I can’t clone my characters to permanent bc or wrath realms. Who even cares lol.

Like for me, it’s an instant turn off if they don’t provide permanent bc classic era and permanent wrath classic era anniversary realms upon release. Just zero point in going forward if we are all just going to be stuck going into cata classic realms again.

And yah, I know we have classic era realms. But bc classic and wrath classic were classic enough for me in my op. And I am not into classic era as much as I was into wrath. But i was forced to have my toons transferred into cata classic realms without having the option of staying back. Which is stupid yo.

Sadly I have no links, but they were announced as TBC locked servers. I’m not trying to convince you, but I am confident if you search deep enough you will find posts or interviews that say as much.
