This isn’t the first time sodapoppin has been RMTing he’s been doing it forever lol. They slap him on the wrist if he starts getting too open about it.
I’m not too keen on streamers turning classic into P2W asian-like whaling MMO.
reCaPTCHA every 20 minutes imo
Neither am I but Blizzard is going to let it happen and it is what it is.
Darn if only there was some way the multi billion dollar organization could hire some GMs to float about in-game and ban these bots in real time and on the spot. Oh well I’m sure one day Blizzard will figure this high IQ problem out.
Bots need to be banned daily, not by waves. The level cap is only 25, so they can make it all the way to lvl cap in less than a day and start funneling/selling gold. If Blizzard ban them every other week (or even weekly), they are not solving anything. They need to make botting not worth while, and bans in wave is not the answer.
If you go to the outside part of Walling Caverns, you will see a huge amount of orc hunters farming perfect deviate skins
Bots don’t complain on forums lol the bots are better customers than most humans.
I wanna raise my fishing skill, but if I was gonna bot-it, I would surely be banned!
Yup. My TTRPG friends, my partner, and myself have all quit and cancelled our subscriptions already. We spent the weeks from Blizzcon to release planning and talking about all the new stuff we were excited for and Blizz let us down like usual.
Does no one remember bots in classic haha? This isn’t new.
You can report them yourself, just like any griefer or troll, people are gonna do what they are gonna do. You want a problem from the olden days to completely disappear? not likely. It seems like an odd hill to die on as well, they are barely sentient, easy to avoid, don’t even acknowledge your presence so they can’t really be said to be hindering you, competition for spawns? That’s not new either.
Not seeing how its causing such extreme frustration. Maybe you weren’t having fun to begin with and bots are a nice excuse to vent but I doubt the bots are THAT under your skin.
Did you read the post?
As I said, that night when went to create a new character, I was being genuinely held back in levelling progress due to the swarm of bots completely occupying an area i was trying to quest in. They would instant tag fresh spawns, which, as a warrior, is a challenge to compete against.
That is the cause of frustration. Yes, it’s not an impossible challenge to overcome, but it definitely was not something I could completely ignore.
i went to level a new character and sat in trials and reported bots for 20 minutes and couldnt even kill scorps there were so many of them. I just logged out and lost all interest in trying to level again because of it
Does no one remember launch when each mob spawn had like 40 people trying for it?
Somehow people leveled out of it, go get some explore experience, invite real people, or heck you could probably even invite a bot and get completion, the scorpid quest doesn’t lead to any runes or quest epics, you could go grind something else and skip it, it is season of discovery, get a little creative.
Since we dont care about Classic purity, because it’s SOD after all…
JUST MAKE MOB TAGS AND OBJECTIVES SHARED LIKE IN RETAIL!
Thanks
People who scream about bots are worse than the actual bots
Disabled friend of mine was harrassed 2 days in a row by crazies screaming bot at him because he plays hunter
First messaged him and yelled he had to be a bot because he didnt name his cat pet - took 15 minutes of back and forth before the guy stopped arguing he was a bot - my friend was so upset he named his pet, notabot because of this stupid interaction
Next day he was helping PL me on an alt and people started messaging him again screaming he was a bot because he was in Elwyn
Maybe the problem isnt that there are things crazies think are bots, maybe Blizz just puts too many people in zones that are designed for a lot less players
I saw a broken hunter bot in Razor Hill, that was running to the vendor, standing there about 5 seconds, then running to the inn keeper, standing there about 5 seconds, then going back to the vendor, over and over. I watched it for a while, then went off to do quests. About 20 minutes later, he was still just running back and forth.
As for the working bots, I’ve seen a lot of hunters, and even some rogues.
The problem is that since the game is capped at 25 botters can start exploiting the endgame instantly. They should limit each player to only create 2 characters per account to be available to reach lvl 25 next characters are capped at lvl 10 and they will unlock as the phase progressz say after 1 month you’re allowed now to have a third alt able to reach 25. Obviously this control should adap on next phases to suit the needs to have a healthier game experience.
Sorry, are you implying that I infact saw 10 disabled players named ‘dasdasdas’ ‘ewjhgunads’ ‘ghjeugnas’ etc who were all following the exact same movement path?
the amount of players that scream every single player other than themselves or their group is a bot is insane in this game
No I am not defending bots, just calling out crazy abusive behavior
If you think its a bot, report it
