The boss dragon Doomshadow dies instantly and very few can get credit. Please make him invulnerable for some time so we can tag it. As it is the quest is impossible to complete.

Bump. didnât even get an indication that I needed to kill the boss or where it would be. why donât I get credit from just, you know, doing the event - collecting artifacts and stuff?

Iâm going to pipe in. This boss needs to be upped based on how many people attack it. I have instant casts but you got people who just annihilate it before that instant cast gets off. So wasted time digging, doing the jobs, but getting no credit for the weekly quest because someone decides they need to flex and destroy.
It needs to spawn with the one minute of immunity mechanic as other âmust get a hit on the spawnâ mobs have been given - such as rares during the dreamsurge event.
What it beyond infuriating is this has been reported as an issue going back at least a year now, well before they tied housing decos to this event â and yet nothing has been done.
Yeah I just tried doing this twice back to back and was not able to tag to boss in time, while standing at the boss landing zone and spamming my abilityâŚ..

Bumping this again. how tf am I supposed to complete the meta achievement when I canât do the biggest rep quest for the Azerothian Archives???
Hotfix notes for today claim they fixed it (or at least tried):
Seems to still be bugged. Me and a few others did not get credit. Odd thing is our logs showed us hitting Doomshadow. No loot or quest credit.

This is still bugged. The boss dies instantly. Even though I tagged it, I still didnât even get credit for the weekly event. Please fix. Itâs not even that hard to fix. Put the rare spawn 99% immunity buff on the boss for the first 5-10 seconds.

Bump, this is still bugged as of March 19, 2026.
blizzard GMs always say to report bugs but nothing seems to get fixed, they just ignore us unless its 100K post on a bug
This is still bugged and makes the event a complete waste of time more often than not. Literally just give it a few million health.
Itâs still like this. I did two. I was only able to tag one of them, but even then I didnât get credit.

Do you still have explosive trap? Try putting it under boss just before it becomes attackable. This goes for anyone with a ground-damage effect. Itâs more effective than mashing the button.
That said it definitely needs some kind of protection against getting one shot on spawn. Timeless Isle rares in MoP remix had it, and Iâm surprised it hasnât become standard.

Was the only person there, quest did not complete upon killing the boss. In fact he just disappeared, didnât even leave a corpse.
