THE beacon of world pvp

It’s okay to admit you don’t have the necessary skill in world PvP, you will never know the glory I do of conquering orgrimmar, know your place I’m glad we established this!

This is what we’re dealing with people lol
The glory! :joy::joy:

Btw I used to wpvp, bg spam, duel hero etc when I was 15 back in the original xpacs. Its almost like you improve at the game and focus on the rated part of the game if you want skill expression or have any reason to think you’re actually good at the game in a measurable way.

There is a reason you cant & wont do arena. Just know that.

Past few nights have been back and forth ally vs horde raid groups! The #1 wpvp server

To be fair, world PVP and arena players are two different populations. Arena players (the decent ones at least) tend to have a lot more in common with high end raiders in mentality and preferred way of playing the game. World PVPers tend to be more similar in skill level/mentality with your average person who plays just to run solo queuable content like bgs and rdf.

Grobb has world pvp, but i wouldn’t say it’s really all that fun anymore. That’s largely a function of the expansions we’ve been playing for the last couple years. Wrath killed off the need to make gold off of the open world, so naturally people don’t go out there and compete for resources. What exists now is mainly griefing in daily zones. There are several zerg guilds on both factions led by drama queens and their idea of world pvp is massive aoe fests and running around in impenetrable death squads ganking daily questers. It’s a push and pull between both sides til they reach the safety of their TB base camp guards. I find this gameplay very boring and not skill reliant.

Now, would I ever play anywhere else? No. The fact that at pretty much any point I can still encounter an enemy faction member in the wild and attack them when I want to makes it worth it.

There is certainly more world pvp in Cata on Grobb than there was in Wrath. TB is still a major hub of activity 5 months in while WG stopped being relevant in Wrath after the first month or so. The server (sadly) is a 1/4 of the size it was during peak Wrath and I would still say it feels more alive in this respect.

What that also means, unfortunately, is that a space has opened up for the zerg guilds to make TB into their pissing contest. But you can find good fights out there regularly if you want to.

Fully agree with your post very accurate.

On Grobbulus, during WOTLK, i would often find wpvp at the hellfire peninsula tower dailies, as they still gave decent honor for the effort involved. I’m not sure if people still do them or hang out there in Cata though.

Hit the nail on the head.

Im somewhat in both camps, as a world pvper and somewhat mediocre arena player. Really i just like all forms of pvp which grobb can provide me
