Dude, you hit the nail on the head with that one. How many times have many of us started trying to trouble shoot something when it was just them… A little note in game would mead the world.

Warband Bank not working says The bank is being used by another member of your Warband says that on both my Main & Alt characters I am getting same thing

Anyone else laughing at this!! It just figures, they took up extra time with the Realms offline and STILL had a bug! LOL
I mean to be fair this is the biggest pre-patch from a technical standpoint.

Why can’t Blizzard be bothered to put a known bug report on the Battlenet launcher, so we don’t have to search for these problems online?

Because your screen wouldn’t be big enough. And no one is going to guess which bugs you care about.
What if the error is actually valid and the bug is that another character on your warband has it tied up?
In that case that character is doing something wrong and will be fired! 
character was probably an unpaid intern.

You’d think they’d just… put that text in game. “Warband bank is under maintenance” or something.

Can you imagine the technology it would take to change the text from “The bank is being used by another member of your Warband” to “This is bugged AF and we are working on it.”? Or at the very least to tell us when we open a ticket or bug report, that it’s known and being worked on? Maybe some day computers will have the ability to do these amazing things, but for now, text is set in stone.

Warband banks are a big part of the release. Deploying the software with them broke is like giving a scuba diver a tank with five minutes of air in it. It allows them to dive deep enough to die. Like the fellow who accidentally deleted a character trying to fix the bug.

devs have disabled it due to some issue with it

It was stupid. If you can create an error message, you can create a helpful one. I don’t run and look for a blue post for every issue (to be fair, there often isn’t one when there should be). No, I assume it’s me. So I log, relog, character hop, disable addons, etc. trying to figure it out. Such aggravation and wasted energy.
