The Archivist Codex rep needs a buff

sorry dude don’t believe you.

Yes i know I am semi ranting but this is ‘good, talking’ ranting not blowing up rage ranting: if we can come together as players and express our dislikes, concerns and yes rant a little as ADULTS maybe, just maybe blizzard will listen. Maybe.

The buff is at renown 80 most likely.

the buff will be at 80 renown and after spending months of grinding blizzard will go: 233 items are to strong: Going to nerf them like we did that trinket LOL thanks for grinding it out tho.

Maybe like a double rep buff that’s account wide like MoP tbh.

Investments and development are going to be put into what they know players will do, or what they can force us to do. One-time events won’t work with this player base because those who miss it due to work/school/life will just complain over and over, until the devs decide “well that was a waste, won’t do that again.”

This is why invasions/assaults etc are the way they are — boring and repetitive and after you do them once there’s little future enjoyment. They have to be available to everyone, or the devs will get roasted and players will call it “unfair.”

i checked that theory out, there is no such reward, the buff is a tier 5 item that gives you a possible 9500 rep one time gain, so better save it for tier 6

Think Maybe they lost touch with the players on what we would do and want? This system is old, broken and not forward thinking. Times change, people have changed, games have changed. Yeah they won’t spend a dime as long as the big boys on top want there mega boats and such, But can admit regardless if it is status quo it is an old, dull, broken, backwards way of thinking for game progression.

It makes the ancient, cheap servers easier to manage if there aren’t a bunch of players playing all the time.

They’ll probably buff it in six months after it no longer matters. I only go there about twice per week and just got to tier 4. The idea of going there every single day and doing everything is just not my idea of enjoyment.

I don’t find that zone fun whatsoever, so having to spend hours in there daily to reach a farm cap is ridiculous.

Okay. What was the last thing in WoW you actually enjoyed?

Just curious.

Yes I’m sure they have, but “what players want” is also a chasm of possibilities. List 10 things you’d enjoy, and all 10 of them will be picked apart by X number of players. How do you create content against that? I do feel bad for devs trying to “score a win” with this game’s diverse player base.

Hmmmm last thing I enjoyed…Well there are a few things I did enjoy.

I liked TBC working on the heroic Keys, Or key to get entrance into black temple. I oddly didn’t like much in WOTLK i must be weird but I barely remember it…I liked that cata TRIED to redo the world with a revamp and I felt while still “zones” it was zones within the world we had to get to so felt kinda alive…

MOP was ALOT of fun to me, just, the dailys, the zones, the world bosses, the story, every single patch they just improved the game until I feel while the last patch felt like it lasted FOREVER, MOP had the best patch cycle ever.

WOD - It…had moments but nothing shined it just felt filler.

LOVED legion, don’t even need to go into why, just, everything about legion felt epic on scale, zones where fun, quest where fun, i LOVED the artifacts though wished it was a bit broader in scope, still awesome, story was FANTASTIC I felt just, legion was amazing.

BFA…yeah…it got better but…i mean…barely. Still horrific visions was better then choregast! least you got some loot!

Shadowlands. Shadowlands is not the worst, it has moments, I like its theme its just…I don’t feel any threats, It feels like a cold dead static place, with nothing but chores. Locking things behind covenants was a dumb idea, no mounting in the maw was, a dumb idea. I feel shadowlands COULD be good but…they just aint trying.

if you think they’re using the same servers from 20 years ago, you clearly never maintained a server unit, things are always breaking down and needing repaired, replaced, but most companies has tech that allows games to keep running if one server breaks down in the background

Oh, are you and Sinelius the same person? That explains a lot.

my top ten things:

Reforging returning

Loosen Xmog rules - Tier sets still locked to class, same with Artifacts other wise, open it up.

Remove whatever is left of the Global CD that they added.

Remove the AOE cap

Make the world feel alive again - Use the world that was created

Make bad guys feel like threats: I barely seen the jailer: I don’t care about him

Make the game feel like an adventure again: tired of being a champion then some name NPC takes my kill.

Make quest feel more alive, The fetch and return an eyeball to town can remain…but add new ideas.

Make alliance/horde cross faction: Pvp can always be a thing because “people are dumb” and will always fight.

Remove rep gates/rep grinds. you can counter the “grind” by just making things harder: Make it if you want to progress you need to group up, its an MMO not a single player game - Over time these quest can ‘decay’ so they can be soloed. Yeah yeah its a form of a gate: But wow should be played with others.

No idea who Sinelius is.

You’re right I haven’t, but I know how cheap and underhanded corporations can be. I’m sure they have old refurbished tech from a decade ago. BUT more players played a decade ago, so I’m sure they sold or disabled what they didn’t think they would need. “Do more with less!”
