The Anima-cap issue is worse than I thought

Define: “quick”

Because you CAN flip Anima to gold. It’s just clunky and time-consuming.

Brokers are supposed to be traders, right? Why the hell can’t we trade anima to these people for a myriad of things?

5k anima for a Veiled Augment Rune
10k for a Korthian Armament
20k for a random conduit upgrade
30k for a socket

Now that anima is PLENTIFUL, it is no longer a pain to harvest a lot of, meaning its probably okay now to add in a few things that can benefit your character, rather than keeping it at an aesthetic level.

Also, remove Anima Infused Weapon Fragments from the game. I’d love to spend 30k anima on a slight recoloration of weapon mogs I already have (lol) but I’m not farming that junk. It’s like farming all the carapace fragments for the AQ scepter quest solo. Awful.

Well just copy the functionality of the anima collection NPC but instead of putting it in the covenant pool they just give you a predetermined amount of gold instead.

The anima overflow is going to be a big problem. The cap is 35k and I’m getting 2k+ anima a day from Korthia and mission table stuff alone. I’m literally like a week away from the cap.

The cap needs to be raised and/or we need some objects we can dump our excess anima into after we maxed out our sanctum and bought all the transmog stuff.

Are you guys actively trying to get that much Anima?

No, I do Korthia and get 1-2k anima worth of items in my bag from 15 minutes of work.

Are you spending all day in Korthia? Cause I barely see 1-2 rares and 4 clickables while doing the dailies. Things just don’t respawn in the time you get the dailies done, and no one wants to use their research to use the teleporters, treasure hunters, etc. It’s pretty miserable.

Seems like after buying everything from your covenant, your 2 options are :

  1. Change covenants and buy everything there
  2. Buy items and vendor/disenchant them

It is VERY easy to get capped in 9.1

1> The timers are pretty quick, but it is random. Your experience seems to be 1-day a week for me. The other 6 … as soon as I kill one Rare, another is spawning. I’d say most days, I get 7-8 Rares in less than an hour, just chain-spawning.

2> Actually YES, YOU DO want to use your research to buy those items!! You spend (sic) 1000 to get an item that gives you 500 a day! So while you have to spend a little, you end up getting a TON more in return. That’s the ENTIRE PURPOSE of those items!

Especially the little Grommit. Make sure to always have that guy out, both in Korthia and in the Maw-- he finds stuff there, too.

I usually farm about 7-8k anima in a day

Let the Valor to materials vendor in the Vault also have the option of taking anima for the same packages (even if it’s at a 10:1 ratio or something). That will help bring down the cost of crafted stuff (except for the korthite part) and give people who are at or near cap an outlet, and it would be REALLY simple to implement since both the vendor and the packages already exist.

I too have found myself capped on anima with nothing to spend it on until like 77 renown. Outside of swapping to a different covenant I’m stuck deleting dozens of anima piece by piece every day. If you remember, we had a similar issue with AP in BFA and we were allowed to just vendor them for a small amount of gold.

I don’t expect blizz to let us trade anima to alts, but being able to vendor would sure be better than deleting them by hand.

Then again, i’m sure I’m just one of a handful of players having this problem…can’t imagine it gets addressed until more ppl are in the same spot.

Once you get all your upgrades to level 3 it, it increases the amount of anima you get by quite a lot. Korthia also gives quite a lot. I have nothing left to buy and I really thought you could send anima to alts like resources but I guess not. A gear vendor would be nice, like actual useful gear. Make each piece 25-30k or something.
