The Amani culture is INFERIOR!

— LEMI FINISH!! :face_exhaling: Compared to what it once was BEFORE …

:triumph: They use to advance their civilization by having temples of STONE, colossal monuments and gods that empowered their architectures, shrines, weapons, and many varieties of designs – They also had carved road pathways of tasteful design throughout their stretched kingdoms, and held bridges of awe-inspiring magnitude and had bejeweled wonders, sublime rivers and elegant waterfalls flowing off their architectures like a pantheon’s spiritual kingdom!!

They had rulers of strength – rulers of MERIT. Rulers of cunning, frightening wisdom!
They had those of their rulers revered by gods, their people and even acknowledged as grand by their enemies.

And now … They have huts.
HUTS!! … The Zandalari were right to mock them for such.

Yes, the trolls – like the Amani – are inferior to their former glory.

To a somewhat extent, the same applies for the Gurubashi too.
(Stranglethorn would look amazing – if THEY – restored to their former glory too).

:person_shrugging: Alas, with all the Zul’Jan controversy and troll content poking around →

I made this thread, to come to ask …

If you had an opportunity to rise the troll’s loa-imbued empires back to their former glory and BEYOND such former-glory, and in the process → Be granted loa-like features, customisations and housing temple-designs for your loyalty and shared bond of honour - would you?

  • In spite of the kingdoms that of who would oppose you.
  • In spite of the factions that command you to stomp them out.
  • In spite of the other powers that be, who would see it – That such a rebirth is not to be seen.

Would you elevate the loa?
Would you elevate - the grand stone kingdoms of gods, champions and spirits? :sparkles:

Would you conquer, reclaim and ascend?
… Even at the objected behest or rivalry of your former allies?

:star_struck: Would you see it, that the initial vision of Zul, the later vision of Rastakhan, the vision of Zul’Jin – of Zul’Jan and many, MANY others … comes to pass? :smirk: Regardless of your race, faction or class – would you see yourself prove your worth amongst such an empire?

Listen, I love all troll tribes, but Amani has a special place in my heart.

Back in the RTS games, namely Warcraft II, they were the first troll units you had, in the old, Dark Horde.

Those axe-throwing berserkers. They were Amani.

Amani were the first trolls we saw, in the Warcraft series.

And that makes them special.

They were the mortal enemies of elves and humans, since they were basically the first race inhabiting the Eastern Kingdoms.

Loas suck. Trolls are weak. Neither add anything big or important. Keep what we have in the horde and kill off every other troll, they are only a nuisance at best anyway. A nuisance for the faction war is alright, but not useful for the rest of the story.

Now they have superior wisdom for joining an alliance with their old Blood Elf enemies to fight the Void, a common enemy.

It’s almost like the armies of the horde and the alliance invaded and obliterated them multiple times over the last couple of decades…

A couple of thoughts here.

I enjoy the parallels between troll life in the current Azeroth era and what early European life in the first twelve hundred year of the first millennium CE would have been. Both of these groups of people live in rudimentary buildings but would look around and see ancient structures ( for Europeans it would have been Roman Empire structures) that they had no idea how to erect. They sat around just knowing life was better in the past.

before the sundering, the troll empires were already on the back foot due to tribe of dark trolls who had stumbled upon the well of eternity. These dark trolls began to evolve due to the well’s influence and a sect of them evolved further to be able to use magic. Coming from a caste society culturally handed down to them from the Zandalari, these special magic wheeling dark trolls called themselves the Highborne and their newly evolved tribe which included their not as evolved tribe members the Kaldorei.

these Kaldorei trolls began conquering and pushing back the great empires of Amani and Gurubashi to the fringes of the super continent of Kalimdor building their settlements of magical power like Zin-Azshari, Suramar, and Eldre’thalas.

I wrote all this to convey that even before the sundering, and their later conflicts with later evolution of trolls ( Quel’Dorei), and flesh cursed Titan constructs (humans); trolls were already on the way out. As the famous Dr Ian Malcolm noted; Trolls had their shot, nature selected them for extinction.

Should’ve exterminated them, the Gurubashi AND the Zandalari for their actions in Cataclysm and MoP…

They advanced from the Stone Age… to the Stone Age?

But what about second stone age

 The trolls can’t blame ALL their failings on the Alliance and Horde … Both the Amani and the Gurubashi were a shadow of their former-self long, LOOOONG before the Horde came along.

:face_exhaling: I won’t deny, the Alliance and Horde certainly didn’t help their predicament – However, they’re not responsible for the initial fall of their culture and empire’s peak.

I mean, as opposed to the huts age? Sure :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That said, using metals and such like the Drakkari – to the iron age, in combination with stone and perhaps some Zandalari gold age monuments of massive proportions wouldn’t hurt either …

The Amani needs it :joy:

Is this AI again?

I would actually like to see a troll empire at its height. I can’t get over how so many non-orc Horde members love their hut design. At first, I liked Zandalar because of its grandness. Just terrible to navigate. But it really didn’t capture the same feels that Boralis did in a city on the harbor. Just got lifeless outside. Lifeless isn’t really the right word just didn’t feel like something real.

The fact that amani are still around is a testament that the titans power wasn’t really that impactful or beneficial. Corrupted by the old gods? Corrupted by the titans? same difference. Just deranged in different directions.

I’ve never used AI for the WoW forums, so there would be no “Again”

If you want tips on how I did something in the thread, feel free to ask – and I’ll politely offer a guide on how to utilise the forums into achieving such a result.

Right!?

 That’s funny, since I recall during BFA that many had the opposite feelings at the time :joy: haha

They felt that Boralus in comparison - was difficult to navigate, although less of a long-distance to travel throughout it than Zandalar — yet also felt lifeless, or not quite that word, but something along the lines of dull or uninspiring I suppose …

Personally, I liked both (although probably Zandalar more) – I just felt they could’ve both each had used something “extra” and perhaps both more mystical & charming qualities added to them, to give that :star_struck: feel to the areas :dracthyr_nod:

  • Stormsong Valley for the Alliance was spectacular, I would’ve loved if there was more mysticism there though too :sob: Drustvar had plenty of that though  But alas, I’m getting off topic haha

Getting the full Stranglethorn Valley zones in the Gurubashi’s prime would be awesome too

Hell no.

Remember the trolls have been at war with every other saipient race in Azeroth since day one. Restoring them to their former glory would require multiple genocides.

I think the zones of BFA were the best they’ve ever done. The starting zones. Story was garbage but that was beautiful. I think Eversong was pretty but it was pretty before. Zul’Aman is where I go when I want to gather treasures. Flying over the Broken Shore it’s like an island floating in mists then the rest gets revealed. Wonderful work there. Not as impressed with the other two. But nothing has capture how grand Kul Taras and Zuldazar looked.

blizz wants to recon Zul’jin so we’ll hate him.

ain’t happening. not for me at least.

still gonna play dude in HotS. “You wan’ axe???” :axe: :ogre: :axe:

The problem is that trolls built a big bridge and decided to live under it
