I think part of the reason I don’t get bothered by perceived faction bia’s is because I like to see stories on races instead of factions.
Aye, thank you for saying that. I stopped seeing factions long ago and just started to view it as race stories, which is vastly needed. Finally we are getting more stuff for goblins and it was a long time coming. Added to the fact that only one cartel is horde, the rest are neutral. So it isn’t a horde or alliance story, it’s a goblin story.
Okay, but the only stories they tell are about races from the Alliance – up until this goblin patch anyway. A story that is, as Jordel stated, neutral.
Meanwhile we’ve been coupled with Tyrande Whisperwind, who has spat on us, Shandris and Maiev who’ve told us we’re ish, Genn who’s talked down to us, etc, etc, etc.
Which anyone who plays Horde knows and wouldn’t think this content was neutral.
And that you two think it is neutral, suggests to me that you just shrugged and used your expansion level ups on Horde characters.

And Gatekeeping me with the Horde? laughable as I’ve played Horde since 2004 and have a horde tattoo (Forsaken emblem).
I just don’t get bothered by it, maybe years ago I would have but i’ve moved on after they villain batted my favorite character.
I actually like seeing the Night Elves get a new home, I like seeing Magni connect with his daughter and grand-son, they don’t need to be team Red for me to enjoy it.
I do hope they give other races spotlight down the way. I would love for them to do more with Loa Vol’jin or finally pull the Pandaren out and do anything with them again.
I would like to see content based on the actual races instead of a few NPCs showing up and us calling it race content, myself. Obviously we get plenty of that when a new race shows up (dracthyr, earthen) but we’re usually sitting around waiting for a heritage armor questline for everyone else.
That is mostly because when they do that, someone somewhere is always screaming about killing horde or alliance blah blah blah.
It gets tiring. Heck, even the Earthen thing you’re talking about, people hated it because it was “too alliance”. No, it was very much a titan story with Dwarves learning more about their ancient history and an offshoot of Earthen that were stuck in one area.
Anduin leanring about the Arathi is too alliance because he is an alliance character. I just saw it as a human learning more about a split off fragment of an old kingdom and exploring that.
I don’t see the undermine of us killing Gazlowe, horde leader. I see it as a goblin story and the bilgewater cartel finally putting a the much needed bullet into Gazlowe they wanted to put into him back during their fleeing of the island.
But all everyone sees is red vs blue.
You are funny. Bigfel is much older than my Jordel character. In fact, I use expansion levels to level up Jordel, that isn’t even my favorite of my warriors. My favorite, which I still need to level up, is Serum. My Goblin warrior. I also have Totemlove, another Goblin. I mostly just…play…goblins. Oh and one Earthen.
That fact you don’t think Goblins aren’t neutral tells me you have zero clues about goblin lore or culture.
Post on your Horde character though. I honestly can’t take an alliance undead seriously.
Again, you’ve defended BFA and shadowlands as neutral when both tear into the horde player for how evil the horde is.
Defended BFA and shadowlands? No I didn’t. Those expansions sucked because the faction war was dumb to begin with. The whole red vs blue was the reason, that you guys love so much, ruined the horde for so long. Why? Because someone had to be the bad guy and of course it would be Sylvanas. She was always a sketchy character from the get go.
Thankfully, Goblins are better than BFA and shadowlands.

Well genn is a terrible king, we all know that. Moira being sketchy is cool as well but she doesn’t really do things when it doesn’t concern the dwarves. Jaina is way too in love with Thrall to go full crazy expect for that one time. She literally led her father to his death because she was such a simp for Thrall.
Only one who would do BS war for no reason would be Slyvanas because of the whole “life has no meaning” “crawling in my skin” type ish that she was. She was terrible but they made her even worse in BFA because they wanted to force a red vs blue because you guys love that way too much and that was the consequence.
Because of you faction lovers, we had to have two of the worse expansions.

Goblins are anything but incompetent. We literally are the ones creating technology for the horde. Biggest joke race? Nah, we are THE race. Biggest joke race is and forever be the trolls.

Genn is 200% the best character in the alliance and absolutely the only human one.
The Brann leveling grind is dumb to begin with. Just remove the grind and add more companions,
I know Blizzard likes to add pointless grinds sometimes, but leveling Brann is one of the most pointless.

Thank you for highlighting that “Titan stories” end up skewing Alliance every time, despite Trolls and Tauren being some of the most ancient races on the planet. Although I will note that I’m glad to see Dwarves getting their due, because they were largely ignored for huge swaths of time as well. It’s nice to see Alliance stories feature something other than Elves and Humans for a change (although I suppose Arathi is technically an elf and human story).
Also, big luls to the notion that cdev will or won’t write something based on Story Forum reactions.
