i think it’s adorable that the people who never used the addon are the ones most concerned about “cheaters”
People who have used the addon know how easily it can be cheated. I really don’t care how anyone else plays, I’d like to see how different the outcomes would be if they ran side by side servers with one life and ssf.
Anyone who actually thought that Blizzard would axe the AH and trading in “Hardcore” was completely off their rocker.
There’s starving bots to feed. Of course they wouldn’t.
I know
but it was fun to pretend
it’s funny seeing a bunch of people who are going to die at level 15-20 anyway with their ssf nonsense trying to gatekeep about what “real hardcore” is.
Are you illiterate or simply trolling? I’m saying Bloodsail is the closest we’ve come to that ideal.
The only way you can disprove me is naming a server or WoW iteration that is more free from the plagues of gold buying than Bloodsail is. There is not one. You are wrong.
Despite the fact the addon is often cheated, Bloodsail is largely free from the “palgue.” Even if a player cheats a, the majority still adhere to the rules, and thus there aren’t many gross outlets of gold - such as GDKP (“legalized” carries and soulbound gear buying). So it’s not perfect but it’s the closest we have come to being free to gold buying.
Still hoping for Soul of Iron to be modified to block trading.
Come now. There’s no need for name calling.
But you are chamging your original claim to which I responded.
It has not.
That you have modified that now really makes no difference. People have and continue to play as wallet warriors there. Even hc players. That you don’t want to acknowledge this is understandable but not accurate. Good for you that you have resisted but some are not that strong.
That you know of or are willing to admit.
Idc qbout HC so it really dont matter to me but having 5 gold vs 500,000 gold or BiS vs rags like you said absolutely makes the game harder or easier. Having BiS and 500,000 gold significantly lowers the difficulty threshold through raw stats, potions, food, mount, etc. You can mess up alot more or take on harder pulls with knowing you have plenty of consumables. Just saying. Without appeals HC is not going to last. Even tho I agree that appeals are a bad thing.
Wouldnt the easiest way to fix the issue just separate servers w/ trading and AH from without those?
The precedent is there with PvE vs PvP or even RP vs Non-RP severs.
This saves people the time from filtering people from groups to ease the inevitable friction in game in the player base. Gives both sides what they want, the ones that want to follow existing rules a dedicated server with some of the fixes Blizzard has implemented for griefing and other things and for those that do want trading they have their server too.
Theres really no reason to come up with various server types for a trend that is gonna die within 6 months after becoming official.
I wonder how much the “HC community” will shrink when there is no add-on to cheat, and no death appeals. LoL
Not to mention streamers moving on to the next thing…
Says who?
Literally, point me to anything that states this outright in any official capacity.
Its a no from Blizz: They have additional rules for Hardcore that they’ve said outright are there to make it Hardcore.
The largest population of the player community disagrees, as the addon had a lot more constraints than just don’t die.
The dictionary definition makes no mention of 1- life or 1- attempt, and if you look at gaming from a historical perspective, “Hardcore” just made games harder. Permadeath mechanics got associated play later on.
So, again, Says Who?
This just in…
HC Elite: “Yeah… we’ve decided to sit this one out… I mean we’ve already proven we can kill KT with zero deaths… us not playing anymore has nothing to do with the fact we can rez according to our own rules…”
The sooner the better. Bloodsail has improved immensely since the content tourists have dwindled.
LOL, this is either a very accurate prediction of the future or a real announcement. Either way no doubts here.
