Why make an Affix that only a handful of classes can deal with? It is clear that most people looking for members will only chooose those memebers based on their ablity to handle this Affix. That puts the rest of us simply running our own keys. That is not what it is about for me atleast. I enjoy variety.
As far as to what the others groups are thinking, it simply makes sense. Not only does it make things easiser, but you have a higher chance for success. For example, if you only have 1 or 2 people in your group that can do it, and 1 of them dies, that last person has to solo them every 30 seconds. Why build an Affix around a handful of classes? Soulution… Get rid of Afflicted Souls and create a new inclusive Affix. Thoughts?
I think it’s good to have these sort of affixes. It prevents raw damage dealer stacking like in Shadowlands. Now more classes have a reason to get an inv.
I mean it’s not that bad, it comes down to the healer mainly handling them, and the bulk seem to not want to or don’t know how to. I had my share of missed afflicted mobs last night initially but I got used it pretty quickly and was able to heal/dispel them pretty easily.
Yeah i dont get the complaints. I healed a 17 vortex yesterday dealing with afflicted for the first time and it was a pretty non issue affix for me to basically deal with alone.
A couple went off because i didnt see the afflicted soul but one or two debuffs is not key breaking. Also healing them took a single surge and maybe riptide every time. Nothing crazy.
I don’t get the hardships and this one really does deserve the “healer affix” meme title in my opinion.
Right, I was pretty much the only one dispeling them save for the evoker that was doing so every once in a while, so that meant I had to heal them when there were two as I couldn’t count on the evoker to dispel the other one consistently if two spawned.
even if there was an affix that wiped the entire group with no counter it would still be better than bolstering or sanguine in pugs
2 mobs at 3% health? Time to pull another pack!
spend most of your energy trying to figure out what weird thing the other 4 people are doing? here are some death puddles for you to avoid! make sure to keep auto casting mobs with no interrupt in them for as long as possible.
Ironically enough, I’m loving this affix on my augvoker. Thanks to my experience healing, I am hyper aware of when the spirits spawn and try to throw a quick dispel on it.
My healers greatly seem to appreciate not having to cover the whole affix alone. Tho the only problem is when we both use our dispels on the same one and we are both scrambling to heal the second one.
I did it first few dungeons, but watching 3 people in party with cleanse not bothering to press 1 button, when I had to heal and cleanse tank’s debuff, made me do something drastic.
I stopped dealing with 2nd ghost. They whined for first 2 ghosts, but then they used their dispells, not on one, but on both ghosts.
Let them learn.
And if you still refuse, then you wipe and miss timer. Why should you time a key if you can’t do basic mechanics?
