and the ones that resist just have their concept stolen by said behemoths knowing they can’t afford to fight them in court.

Its disgusting how these corporations work. Just out resource smaller entities until they have to cave. In the end its the product and consumers that suffer.

What good things did you leave out of this post??? – since it’s the “Absolute state of…”
as the years go on i find myself doing this more and more. I want something new! But outside of indie games everything today either doesn’t interest me cuz its COD clone number 1,400,092 or is loaded with microtransactions that kill game play.

the best thing that could happen if blizzard could do what bungie did
Its hard to put trust into Major corporations to make an actual game that has depth and is actually fun. Even though if you find a game from a Major corporation either from EA, Activision and whatever game publisher or developer out there for money is considered failures because they have no way to extract so much money from the game as possible.
The only way to get blizzard back we know is they do a Bungie but in reality I don’t really see this happening considering I find Bungie (Destiny 2) doing fine without activision breathing down their necks.
Sadly the original devs who did care about this game either quit or were laid off, you’re talking to a new generation of devs that has known nothing more than the same formula since WoD 
I really appreciate all the input you guys have had… it seems the future of Activision Blizzard will only decline and WoW Classic (with possible other re-releases of previous good expasions) might be their last stand. After that though I can’t foresee this company surviving unless they create a whole new game that is head over heels better than all other games out there because at this point coming out with something on par with another game out there isn’t enough they ruined the games we loved by selling out and doing shady business at best. What would you guys like to ideally see happen if you knew it would come true. I know more than a few have already said replace the executives and devs with people who actually care and have originality and others have said Blizzard separate themselves from Activision.
I just want Blizzard to split away from Activision and make good games again. 
Blizzard has been totally absorbed by Activision at this point. It’s been more than a decade since the merger. Blizzard is gone just like BioWare is gone.
Anyone remember Barnstorming and Pitfall? How about the original Warcraft? How this great company has fallen. RIP…
