That Flask of Unbridled Darkness

In Upper Reaches it was great, but there you had plenty of room to move, of course.

I just started a run in Mort’regar, and yeah, I can already tell that this is going to be more difficult. Easy to make a mistake, sure, but having a 1.5 minute cooldown on the thing and teleporting between platforms every 15 seconds isn’t a good mix.

Not telling my partner about the power that deals damage to friend or foe. It said like a few thousand? So I didn’t thin anything of it until it one shot her warlock.

Flask of darkness +the anima power that makes you pulse aoe×3+ bonedust brew power that multiplies the damage by like 1000%= free run

Buff anima drops

if you’re still having trouble finishing torghast at this point i dunno what to say…

the ability is silly fun and you dont have to pick it if youre boring and hate fun, so kindly keep your ****iness to yourself. if you just want easy soul ash get a group.
torghast SHOULD have been “the good part” of this expansion but they messed that up so its good to see them trying to fix it.

also, blizz uses this type of thread as justification to keep communications with players at a minimum. “see we were just trying to have fun and the horrible players lashed out anyways”

I find it hilarious how they continue ignoring every single issue with balancing, anima drop, loot, valor, pvp and then you come here and its like
" TEEHEE darkness pot yall? lul xd "

So you won’t respond to any of the massive issues the community is constantly bringing up, but you’ll make a post like this?

Also, Metrohaha forgot to log out of his dev account before posting.

Eewww you feel lootable bodies? I just rummage through their pockets for shiny things.

I can’t get enough of soloing Legion raids either!

Pity they haven’t been scaled properly.

Tried it on my Unholy DK, and just blazed through stuff in Mort. It’s a class combo designed for it.

Of course, I was only using it situationally, and not every chance I could get, but it worked really well for that.

I can see where it might be fun to try it as a group (but keep one spotter), but it really seems built for a solo player.

yeaaaaah that ain’t no dev. At least I hope not :eyes:

Finally done with all my Mort’regar shenanigans. My solo run was… yeah. I actually ended up not having too much trouble, up until the final boss, but I got Maw of the Maw. :rage:

Amusingly, I failed to beat the boss, not because of the Unbridled Darkness, but because it didn’t last long enough. I didn’t have the DPS (outside of the darkness) to down it in time.

I had another crack at it in a group (I was extra motivated to get that Layer 8 Soul Ash, which was just enough to craft another legendary) and it was a lot of fun just nuking everything from the darkness without having to worry about much of anything, since we had tank and heals.

Ridiculous and fun! Had a good laugh when I just straight up died one time from AoE that I couldn’t see. I’m sure my party wondered what the hell I was doing at times.

Hi kaivax,

I soloed mortregar layer 8 with darkness a few days ago. It was ok. I would use it on large packs or the end floor boss, but I wouldn’t move while using it as I didn’t want to fall off any ledges.

Of the 3 unique torghast events, my favorite is the pet one. Least favorite was the vehicle one. Darkness falls somewhere in between.

My 2c

Tried it, made the run super easy. Was pretty funny pulling a whole ton of mobs, everything going dark and then being surrounded by bodies when the lights came back on.

I’m still trying to finish the story quests in Torghast. After I do those I don’t plan to go back.

My experience failing a run on the final boss was enough to make me do the bare minimum.

This power doesn’t seem like it would make my run faster…

Reading some of these responses I think some people hate fun…

This is a fun event, especially in a group. It is not something I’d do every day, but I suppose that is why it is a special event.

I like it quite a bit in that it took a lot of the time-sink aggravation out of doing Torghast this week. Better standard Anima powers, or more consistent and earlier drops of the better Anima powers, could also do that.

Ya’ll are toxic and wonder why the blues don’t post more often.

returning to this thread after “testing” this vial on my priest alt (which I think priests have pretty mediocre offensive powers except for 1-2) and yeah it’s a bit crazy but of course you need the right powers like everything in torghast…

it’s okay not wow crazy because it’s not like you will get always the same godly combination every time.

:man_shrugging:

Ran Torghast with my spouse. When this option came early on, he selected it, I didn’t. Suddenly his entire screen is black, and we ended up leaving and re-setting it, so he could choose something other than that pointless option.
