What kind of question is that?

First off. It’s disturbing you creeped on my history. Get a life.
Secondly. If you read my OP I recently had the opportunity to play it first hand. So now I know what the changes are. So use your imagination on the things I’d tell you right now if I wasn’t afraid of being given a vacation.
Yeah… Good luck killing a end boss in under 20 seconds.
Mmhmm they even added debuffs to make it easier. Oh yeah, too bad you need currency to upgrade. Too bad you need to complete floors, that some classes might not be able to solo. “Find a group” yeah well Torghast scales higher with more people… making it more difficult.
Easiest. Ha.
I’ve done it, you just need the right powers.
There’s a 155 points worth of bonus objectives. You don’t NEED to kill the boss in 20 seconds to get 20 points.
What class can’t solo torghast?
I’ve done torg on every class but lock and they’re all capable of solo 5 starring.
I know lock is too because it’s one of the more powerful according to what people have said.
First off. Amazingly people read these threads and have a memory longer than 5 seconds. No one has to “creep your history”. Get a brain.
Secondly. Wow! I guess all of a sudden you were too good to continue posting in the current discussion? You and I both know you just need ppl to pay attention to you. It’s why you jumped on bashing something others were bashing before you even knew what you were talking about.
Pathetic.
Ditto.
Also this is only floor 9. It’s only going to get harder.
Torghast score from time is not ultimately what determines your rank at the end but still plays a substantial role in it. There is indeed a time pressure built into Torghast. And it has no place being in Torghast because of how random powers are. If you can’t get your OP anima powers early on, you just won’t complete the floors fast at all. But if you do successfully fish for that one power that breaks your class, you easily steamroll the entire tower in no time. The only determining factor of that is pure RNG. It’s bulldung, really. The timer has no place in Torghast.
On my mistweaver monk, I’m fishing for either Shadowboxing Treads (boosts blackout kick and cleaves to 2 enemies per stack) or the ultimate most broken power ever, Corrosive Dosage (healing by vivify damages enemies for like 200% of the heal over 3 seconds). On the runs I got Corrosive Dosage on the first floor, I mopped the whole layer 9 with 246 points. I destroyed Torghast. On the runs I did not find it at all, it became such a slog and I just hard reset it because my performance just got worse with the timer breathing down. It sucked.
Timers worked for horrific visions as that was what they designed that content around and you can reliably overcome it with your own preparation and skills. Timers make no sense in Torghast where getting that one lucky draw breaks the whole game.
and our gear will improve, and our tower knowledge will make things easier
I’m sorry, what? Torghast is not only the easiest it’s been, but it’s the most fun it’s been. The timer is very lax, completion and secondary bonuses are a much more important aspect of your final score.
It seems like you didn’t figure out how it works and got upset about that.
This is a genuine question, but how is it easier? It’s literally the same torghast but higher layers plus you get two torments.
I suppose you can argue that you can die an infinite number of times, but you still need at least 4 stars to unlock the next layer and a single death can knock you down a star.
I have yet to see any negative penalty caused by deaths. I suppose there could be a bonus for no deaths you could lose though. I think its a little alarmist to say a single death could drop you down a star though.
it’s -20 points per death. they do hurt.
honestly the thought of doing the same dungeons and torghast again has literally killed off any motivation to grind
the only new content is one dungeon and the raid, plus the incredibly generic rote questing in the tiny zone of korthia
the way progression is set up, not doing M+ an endless amount of times means you fall way behind for raiding as time goes on, and the korthia catchup gear is a brutal morale breaking grind
9.1 is a dud for me
You lose 20 points for every death. IIRC every rank is only a difference of 40 points so unless you are absolutely crushing it already (and if you are you must’ve done something stupid to die) it’s easy to lose a rank.
Is the run scored individually or do party deaths count because we made a really silly pull and wiped and still 4 starred.
Empowerment.
Blessings.
Box added, and removal of base torments that screwed certain classes a lot more than others.
I dunno, every run I’ve done I’ve seen a stack of reprieve per party member that negates the negative of a death.
Then again, my overall view of easy might be very different from most of this forum’s, so there’s that. But there’s no challenging that the box alone adds a decent chunk of strength to the player compared to baseline Torghast.
Every time I finish a run, I feel an urge to shout at the screen “Stop judging me!”
( it’s only been a few runs, but so far the scoring system and I have not yet agreed on a game we both want to play )
