Thanks for ruining Torghast

I hate the torment that drops crap in melee range. Like melee needed anymore punishing mechanics.

I don’t think you need to worry too much OP. This is exactly what happened with Torghast the first time. People complained for weeks and then they nerfed it into oblivion. In 2 week’s time, you’ll be able to do it blindfolded.

Argument: The timer is trivial and you can ignore it.
-Then if it serves no purpose than to annoy the players, why is it there?

Blizzard mucked up Torghast at 9.0 launch, and their trying desperately to prop up their failings for another year. I wish they were capable of learning, yet here we are with Horrific Island Invasion-Fronts part 2.

The purpose is to further stratify the playerbase into unhappy people who used to like the way the game used to be and the hypercompetitive target demographic



who even interact with their families by trying to beat them for more prestige in a videogame.

Torghast has the potential to be great content, but right now its not
its just a poorly balanced static dungeon with a buff system.

I do want them to make it into a rogue light thing, but im not sure the devs understand those games, given how torghast is


It’s REALLY hard to get no points in the timer, so it’s just bolster points. The bonus objectives are worth a lot more.

The problem is that there aren’t enough powers to really make that work. It’s the same handful of OP powers every run. There’s no variety.

I actually rushed the first time because of timer. Ended up 2 staring :stuck_out_tongue:

So yeah it does not reward the Go go go mentality

it can be killed and actually dies pretty easily on higher layers if you’re pulling big enough
 but it can also be healed. i pop mine then just keep an eye on it, throwing heals out as needed. the only limitation it has is that its taunt doesn’t work on the final boss (or at least doesn’t work very well if you’re pumping damage)

Right the powers are few, not exciting, designed with a “we dont want players enjoying OP powers” p[philosophy thats totally anti-rogue. The utility skills offer no real benefit to the player outside of super unique and rare situations.

Its just a static dungeon.

Yeah lol, I didn’t have faith in this. A majority of the powers are passive or don’t change your gameplay at all. You could play Binding of Isaac 500 times and never play the same way twice.

I don’t see why this is weird tbh. I can objectively recognize Batman vs. Superman as a horrible movie and still enjoy it. Same with 80% of blockbusters. Just because something is bad doesn’t mean people can’t derive entertainment from it.

Honestly I like having the scoring system. and the fact that the teragrue is gone is great. granted, my score was so low I got no tower knowledge from my 9, but I also admit I am a horrible player and tend to stand in the stupid. alot.

Side note: I hate those whirlwinding elites in Skoldus with a passion. they are the primary reason for my deaths.

The timer itself is pretty much irrelevant, but the torments are horribly imbalanced.
Some are just “move away from bad circle” while ones like “become horrified for 3 seconds if your health drops below 40%” and on higher floors/squishier classes you’re just gonna get globaled.
Deaths are really punishing (die twice max if you want to unlock the next floor) so honestly it’s just best to restart your run with bad torments.

This is on top of already really boring content so it’s just worse IMO.

This all is a step in the right direction, and the levelling thing for torghast to make failed runs not 100% worthless is a good idea too.

Problem is, the content should have been a real rogue light at launch or not added at all.

So let me get this straight. There is a thread someone made of complaining about torghast. You made several comments in that thread that clearly demonstrated you both had no idea what the changes that had been made were and had not actually played any of it yourself. You then proceed to come here and make an entirely new thread complaining about information you just learned about from another thread. This may be the most pathetic pitiful attempt at bandwagon attention-seeking I have ever seen in my life.

When a single torghast run can take up to 20 minutes that’s like 10 procs. Like I said on squishier classes it pretty much means death.
