What? Is this real? marksmanship hunter is one of the strongest specs in the game right now being S-Tier in multiple forms of content.
S tier in what? Show me where… The only thing MM is good at is 3s with priest and druid, and that is because priest and druid are currently S tier. Have you played arena at all? I gaurantee 90% of the ppl on here saying oh mm is fine do not play arena at 1400+. Hunter feels extremely squishy right now and the nerf to aimshot and double tap basically ruined the entire playstyle of MM. MM is supposed to be strong burst. Literally once MM exhausts cds, we become useless. At least let us attack during turtle shell give us our own pally bubble. I would rather be playing any other class than hunter right now, in all honesty. MM is not fun anymore, its watered down, and we get destroyed extremely quickly by any ranged class that has a brain. Melee will always beat us in a 1v1 situation even with perfectly solely due to our damage nerfs. I think il come back when my class doesnt suck. Wish I rolled priest. How nice it must be to have to press 3 buttons and win
Don’t fall into the trolls trap.
This post honestly confuses me. MM is legit the god-spec for PvP right now. I can only assume that the drastic changes made to the spec have changed the way it’s supposed to be played and you’re resistant to learning a new way.
I have played BM for years. Still play BM for PvE. I switched to Marks for PvP because it’s so insanely OP at the moment. 1v1 is probably the easiest thing in the world. The only classes I have issues with are Rogues and Druids - and even then I have a better chance at winning as MM than BM.
Troll post is obvious. Dude just wants attention by crying on the forums and won’t take anybody’s advice. Hunter is S tier in pvp btw and these nerfs you are talking about are old now. Pathetic.
Yeah he’s not listening because he’s too frustrated. There will be nerfs to other classes and it will be back to a healer dominated bore fest, never running out of mana snooze.
Blizzard released SL too early hence some of the classes being way too powerful, that has happened before I know, but spending time leveling a toon to 60 enjoying the game then all of a sudden the nerf bat comes in, it feels bad, I get some of that frustration. He could be more receptive to help given though.
Buff the classes that are in a bad place IMO, but it’s not the way of Blizz. Hence I’m holding off until the game settles down.
You can’t always just buff classes because of the game world and their respective health and damage. Nerfs are quite often called for.
Anything is possible. They’ve shown they can nerf in PVP and not in PVE etc, but you are probably correct it’s not Blizzards way to try something different for a change, but the place to sort that out was Beta not in the live game.
The game is not a constant, always being iterated on. No such thing as “should have” when it comes to non stop changes.
With the loss of Azerite powers, Trueshot ain’t as strong as it used to be. That’s about the only nerf that I can see.
it is funny they nerf mm and bm but alot of range dps just blasting away.
arcane mage, spriest and boomkin.
Not wrong, but also not new. Hunters have felt squishy for a long time, hell I remember it being a meme in the hunter community back in the cata/mop days of how we might as well be wearing cloth armor because of how squishy we were.
Nope, didn’t ruin it, just changed it. You no longer burst with double tapped aimed shot. Now you want to use double tap on rapid fire. With a surging shots leggo and along with explosive shot + kyrian arrow it’s hella strong burst.
True to an extent, we don’t really do scary damage outside of cooldowns, but we aren’t fully useless, we still can CC and peel for teammates. That is just the way the cookie crumbles with cooldown based specs. This is not unique to MM. There are lots of specs that rely on goes during cds, then just survive and stall till their cooldowns are back up for another go. Sub rogues need dance to kill, fire mages need combust, ret needs wings, etc. It’s not a flaw or nerf or something, it’s just the way it goes with cooldown based specs.
Um don’t slander arcane like that. We have to use 2-3 gcds to even begin to dps and if we have to move for any reason the dps plummets and even then arcane isn’t top dps. Meanwhile hunters just stop moving for an aim shot bomb then back to moving constantly.
Seriously you mention arcane but not fire? What a troll @ Degame
Wow, you are a toxic person. Especially when someone is just trying to help you. If you just want to scream into the void without people responding do the following:
Get out of your sweaty chair.
Walk out of the basement.
Brush the chip crumbs off your clothes.
Go outside and expect to be blinded by the sun.
Scream at the sun that has burned you.
Go back to the basement.
Repeat as necessary.
MM is doing amazing right now, get with a rogue and have him duel a target, drop your LOS ability and basically 2v1 that target while the healer just stands there until you trap it at the end of duel if the target isn’t dead already. GG I hate to say it but if you find MM to be bad, you bad homie. Take some ppls advice and run with it because no one will carry you with a sour attitude esp playing one of the most broken classes in SL out the gate.
I am also not surprised OP is a 1550 max exp PVP player out here acting like the class is bad when he has little to no exp to stand on when it comes to actual PVP.
This guy is not looking for help at all, he is just moaning and crying around. Honestly this should be flagged and we should move to more constructive posts
1.3 k rating in 2’s with a 47% win rate and 243 games played. It’s not a class problem.
To play MM effectively, it is pretty necessary to be skilled at Kiting.
its also the fact that he’s mostly playing 2’s. hunters biggest weakness is its survivability needing a lot of team support and 2s limit options. but dmg is still great and so is utility. Op may have better luck in 3s tho where there is a lot more options to make up for the survivability weakness and focus on the strengths.
