Nope, not really, no. ![]()
Itâs just a number by your name. Get a post-it and write 120/130 on it and hang it by your name. Wala you are 130.
they really could just get rid of character levels at this point. they are useless with their current game play. every new expansion is a character restart. professions are useless, and are not tied to them anymore. ilevel has become much more important. mobs scale, so it is useless there also. even even old world raid, and dungeon runs have nothing to do with your current character level.
so donât get worked up about going back to 50. it really doesnât matter.
Iâve played since the original beta and Iâm very happy about it.
If I could only squish my level in real life about 20 years.
Congratulations on waking from that coma.
1$ = 100cents like new 50 = old 120
Diferent numbers, same thing. Noneplayer is getthing better or worst than others. No content or achievements removed. Only changes the zones ti visit while leveling
Itâll be fine, I promise.
Even in Diablo 3 that was causing server issues, and that was with 4 people constantly generating numbers. I canât imagine what would happen in a 25-man with our ilvls and dps that high.
You talk to a new player and they ask you how long you played you say 15 years. Then look at you funny and they say so your played 15 years and your only lvl 60? Yes you tell them seems strange huh.
If they are new they would not know a difference nor would they care.
How do you know what they care about? I know if I was new that a wierd thing to hear
And how you know they would wonder? If they never knew the game had 120 levels?
I mean if they join the game as a new player and see it only has 60 levels they arenât going to look at you and go dang dude you only 60!
As much as I give Blizzard a hard time for stuff, this is basically how I feel about the level squish. Itâs nothing more than a number.
your the one that paid a sub for 15+ years it sounds like you wasted your money.
I would be more concerned with Blizz actually getting the tuning on the squish right rather than the squish itself. Changing your level number from 120 to 50 is probably a simple thing, the actual tuning of it all is another story, and has Blizz ever done anything like a stat or ilvl squish and not had issues.
Youâve waited 15 years forâŠself disappointment?
What a grudge you haveâŠ
I almost forgot it was sunday, thanks for reminding me OP.
I hope they make it optional or cancel it. Squishes are antithetical to progression, so have no place in WoW. The level squish would completely diminish levels into irrelevance. Instead of wasting time doing the retarded level squish they need to revert the retarded BFA item squish.
do you really trust a bunch as incompetent as Blizzard to pull this up without breaking everything?
Have you forgotten how te last two squishes, which only affected ilvl/stats and not proper levels, broke a ton of stuff and some of said stuff is still broken to this day?
This reminds me of that thread where someone said, âHelp, a warlock is draining my levels!â and then they kept posting on the same character and their level decreased.
