It took place at Lunastre Estate which is neutral enough because of the truce to invite Moira and her kid, Flynn, Shaw, and Taelia and also safe enough to have Turalyon bring Alleria along. Cause yeah, no way could the wedding be held in Silvermoon unless they actually figured out how to stop the Sunwell from exploding near Alleria or other void elves.
Actually surprised that they bothered to invite Genn Greymane but at least his wife showed up in his place, and since they had invited Genn they had probably, out of courtesy, invited Tyrande and Malfurion.
Where was it said that it took place there? I didn’t know there was any in-depth explanation of what occurred at their wedding. Not saying you’re wrong, I just didn’t see that said anywhere. Unless you’re referring to when he visits to make his speech.
From my understanding it was implied that it happened in Silvermoon, since Thalyssra joked about him postponing it for a crooked painting in Silvermoon.
Yeah, Genn didn’t go because he still has a seething hate for the Horde but I guess out of diplomacy or to remind others what had happened to her family, Mia went. And honestly, it was probably the latter since the story said the Forsaken delegation was uncomfortable in her presence.
I have to imagine we all could have canonically went to that. Only reason why it doesn’t happen in-game is because it’s part of the three year timeskip to give all the characters time to breathe without having to worry about the end of the world being upon us for once. Danuser already said we were free to imagine what our characters were doing during that time.
I totally didn’t go, though. Never quite forgave Thally for going Horde…
On the bright side, 2/3 of the weddings I’ve officially attended in-game didn’t end in complete disaster.
There was Thrall and Aggra’s wedding. While you may argue that the wedding was itself a disaster, there was no actual violence or nastiness at the wedding itself.
There was a dwarven wedding in Twilight Highlands that did involve violent shenanigans, but they were totally into it, so that was OK.
I think there was a faceless one? Maybe? That’s been a while, mostly I remember that it was a brawl and the dwarves thought it was glorious. But that may be old guy memory at work again.
They should and the Highborn should help the Blood Elves rebuild Silvermoon and raise the sky box so players can fly there. Actually, if the Blood Elves had not joined the Horde and had stayed neutral they probably would have had Silvermoon rebuilt by now.
