Thalyssra And Lor’themar’s Wedding. Would You Go?

It took place at Lunastre Estate which is neutral enough because of the truce to invite Moira and her kid, Flynn, Shaw, and Taelia and also safe enough to have Turalyon bring Alleria along. Cause yeah, no way could the wedding be held in Silvermoon unless they actually figured out how to stop the Sunwell from exploding near Alleria or other void elves.

Actually surprised that they bothered to invite Genn Greymane but at least his wife showed up in his place, and since they had invited Genn they had probably, out of courtesy, invited Tyrande and Malfurion.

Where was it said that it took place there? I didn’t know there was any in-depth explanation of what occurred at their wedding. Not saying you’re wrong, I just didn’t see that said anywhere. Unless you’re referring to when he visits to make his speech.

From my understanding it was implied that it happened in Silvermoon, since Thalyssra joked about him postponing it for a crooked painting in Silvermoon.

edit: scratch that, I see the novel now.

Yeah, if I am not mistaken, Turalyon was there. And Mia Greymane. Which is weird, considering what the Horde had done to her family previously.

As for me going? I am no fan of Weddings, I’d probably just send a card wishing the happy couple the best of luck on their future.

Yeah, Genn didn’t go because he still has a seething hate for the Horde but I guess out of diplomacy or to remind others what had happened to her family, Mia went. And honestly, it was probably the latter since the story said the Forsaken delegation was uncomfortable in her presence.

sure, but i ain’t bringin a gift.

the git tried stealin my sword back in wotlk.

I have to imagine we all could have canonically went to that. Only reason why it doesn’t happen in-game is because it’s part of the three year timeskip to give all the characters time to breathe without having to worry about the end of the world being upon us for once. Danuser already said we were free to imagine what our characters were doing during that time.

I totally didn’t go, though. Never quite forgave Thally for going Horde…

I would totally go for free cake and wine. Valtrois might even be able to convince me to waggle for her.

As long as I get a good chunk of the wedding fit card money.

Heck yeah, you know I crashed that shindig. Got crossfaded on bloodthistle and arcwine and made it with, like, three bridesmaids and two groomsmen.

Cake coulda been better. Little dry.

i would be there to kick you out of the wedding. NO SPACE HUSSIES ALLOWED!

Id ho just cause i like lor’themar as a leader. The dude is about as level headed as it gets

The last time I attended a wedding…

:ocean: :dragon: :ocean: :dragon:

On the bright side, 2/3 of the weddings I’ve officially attended in-game didn’t end in complete disaster.

There was Thrall and Aggra’s wedding. While you may argue that the wedding was itself a disaster, there was no actual violence or nastiness at the wedding itself.

There was a dwarven wedding in Twilight Highlands that did involve violent shenanigans, but they were totally into it, so that was OK.

And … this one. This one went terribly sideways.

As long it doesn’t play the Rains of Castamere, I’m coming.

It’s gonna be one sad and sorry ambush that falls on a group of max-level characters.

Wasn’t that the one where the Faceless One tried to eat the bride? Or was it just a regular Wildhammer wedding?

I think there was a faceless one? Maybe? That’s been a while, mostly I remember that it was a brawl and the dwarves thought it was glorious. But that may be old guy memory at work again.

ETA: Egad. Was Cataclysm really twelve years ago?

They should and the Highborn should help the Blood Elves rebuild Silvermoon and raise the sky box so players can fly there. Actually, if the Blood Elves had not joined the Horde and had stayed neutral they probably would have had Silvermoon rebuilt by now.

A “Red Wedding” type scenario would be cool too.
