i like sab a lot however i worry if any future issues with Azeroth pops up and we need help, he’s going to be the one to refuse aid when Wrathion - despite his choices - always tried to help us.
So for that, Id go with Wrathion and hope he’d grow mature with time. But I’m 80% sure they’re going to rule as a team and make each other better.
Becoming the aspect is a dumb thing, no one can do better than Deathwing, and wrathion being a great hero or mature leader is boring so…I vote for Sab for funnier story
I didn’t have much respect for him to begin with but that took the cake lmao. Unless he brings up how he used looking pathetic as a “haha gotcha” moment and fires beams at the tiny arm dragon later on, he still sucks to me lol. I like the sass though.
I really like Wrathion as an ally to the factions of Azeroth, and I think his character’s personality is a lot of fun to interact with, but he’s a little too “my legacy” this and “my birthright” that. Feels very self-centered and immature for a prospective leader, like he cares much more about his own glory/destiny than the actual members of his flight.
On the surface, Sabellian doesn’t seem to have nearly the same bloated sense of self-importance, though he still comes across as arrogant. Also, while I feel closer to Wrathion, Sabellian seems cooler. However, I’m not sure if we can count on Sabellian to support Azeroth’s best interests yet, and I could see there being a deeper moral ambiguity to him that surpasses Wrathion’s whiny self-importance (in a negative way).
Truly, I’m #TeamEbyssian. In-game, though, I’m gonna start with #TeamSabellian because I think his faction rewards are cooler, and hope Wrathion gets some wisdom and becomes more of a team player so I can go with my heart and say #TeamWrathion.
Going with Wrathion. Even if he got it wrong, he’s tried to help Azeroth. Sabellian hid in Outland, and now shows up when theirs power on the table. Like that relative who comes out 9f the woodwork when grandpa dies and thinks they’re entitled to the house and entire inheritance, despite being absent for the good and bad times.
Subjectively, going purely on character and what would make sense, Sab by a mile. He’s an actual leader and not just some prissy princeling who talks A LOT MORE than acts. Sure, Wrathion gets his hands dirty time to time, but he reminds me mostly of Loki…an amusing jester who clearly has intelligence and wit, but wouldn’t be someone I’d want to turn to and trust in the heat of the moment. I’d fully expect Wrathion to peace out if things ever looked truly dire for him.
I already know how Wrathion works, I know nothing about Sabellian other than he hid in outland and cried or whatever, his quests back there were uninteresting to me as is his whole character. It’s wrathion for me, sabellian can go back to outland and stare at the rocks there.
I was Team Sabellian going in, dude actually has experience as a leader and isn’t so prone to anger and stupid rash decisions
However some of his dialogue has some very sinister undertones that make him sound untrustworthy. Wrathion might be an idiot but at least it’s clear his ultimate goals are for the good of everyone, if not always for an individual person
Ok n a serious note. I do think wrathion is too rash even though he means we’ll. I mean he’s literally the butterfly effect as to why every that happened after MoP happened. This is why anduin blames him for varion’s death.
Sebby does seem more mature but it is fishy that the dude came out of outland as a nobody due to a power vaccume.
Out of the two though I’ll still stick with wrathion since he’s at least been present and has developed since MoP at least.
However, if anyone deserves it out of character and action, then it has to go to Ebonhorn/Ebyssian.
Didn’t Wrathion just vanish after basically causing Warlords of Draenor, stay hidden for the entirety of the war against the Legion he tried so hard to prepare for, and then show back up like nothing happened just to play the big hero saving everyone from the old gods?
If its by lineage. Wrathion is Neltharion’s Grandson. His mother was the Daughter of Neltharion AKA DeathWing. Her name was Nyxondra. Sister to Onyxia and Nefarian.
Sabellion would be the True Prince.
Unless Blizzard Retconned a bunch of stuff that the Wiki does not reflect. But most everything I seen says ole Wrathion is His Grandson.
If by all account Deathwing/Neltharion is “The Father” of the entire flight. Then my vote would go to Ebonhorn.
The reason is. The Entire Direct line of Deathwing has had that ego attitude Wrathion and Sabellian. Both show supreme arrogance and also a willingness to play tricks and mind games in the extreme, to get what they are after. Also. Lots of hot headed anger issues.
Ebonhorn was purified and saved before he was hatched. Which also may provide a resistance to further corruption attempts in future. Which would be a pretty big deal.
Also. Ebonhorns actual lineage may well be as a Prince of Neltharion as well. And by actually living for 10,000 years (Hatched during the War of the Ancients). Would place him at the for front of claim to the throne as the oldest living heir.
It has been shown and told that Neltharion fell due to mostly his Anger issues and stubbornness. Not to mention he was doing shady things out of sight of all the other Flights and Aspects. As was Malygos. (And by all appearances Nozdormu is soon to follow.) Malygos has been suspected of being drove insane by the same Old God Corruption. It attacked him when his Flight was decimated.
MoP had a Legendary Cloak, the “rings” were part of WoD. Wrathion was part of MoP’s legendary quest chain, but a small easter egg for WoD as he did fly around Khadgar’s tower during the last steps of the ring quest line.
Yes, Wrathion was part of BfA’s last raid in which he gave players another legendary cloak. lol And had an active part during the raid as he tore open N’zoth’s carapace.
