TCG Tabard Missing - Tabard of the Void

Same thing happened to me, all 8 TCG tabards along with Epic Purple Shirt vanished. Had different GMs tell me that it was a bug that the devs were investigating but also one tell me that it was intentional that they were removed and that the appearances are still available. Surely that can’t be possible.

me as well all of my tcg tabards are missing and my epic purple shirt as well. i really hope it was not intentional. Why remove them now? i just want my items back =(

There’s no way it’s intentional - especially considering the shirt has an on-use effect.

I bet this is related to the issue with guild vault items being deleted. Reports of TCG items and guild vaults being emptied out started happening around the same time.

All my TCG tabards and are disappear! I have already made sure it’s a bug, not delete or put in my bag or bank by myself,and fix this bug as soon as possible~ thank you so much!

I also lost my Tabard of Flame and Epic Purple Shirt. I really hope they can restore them!

I have spoken to 3 game masters so far and none of them have been helpful and dodged my concerns on my missing Epic purple shirt and tabard of flame. They keep saying its in the wardrobe now but I keep telling them that is not the issue and the issue is I’m missing them physically so I may wear them again. They said the items cannot be restored. I am very upset because i have worn those for 10+ years. I hope this post is seen by the devs.

i have had my tabard of flame disappear sometime around Jul 10-14ish.
I have made multiple tickets to chat with GMs and customer service about this. It has been a mind boggling difficult task to get any useful information out of them.
it took 3 tickets over a week’s time to get someone to say it was an intentional dev change.
which is ridiculous.
I have since found that I can log in to my PTR character, on a copy that I made around Season 3 of Dragonflight, and my tabard of flame is just there. Nothing weird about it. Exactly as it has been for the last 7 years.
No new tooltip saying it can be consumed to add the appearance to my collection, or anything.
Important to note, that PTR servers are currently updated AHEAD of Live Servers. so the items are 100% still within the game, and were not “removed as an intentional dev decision”.
I have also seen a tabard of frost on the BMAH tonight on Live Realms. Again, nothing different about its tooltip at all. The item is still there. I don’t have the gold to bid on it and see if it stays, though.

Furthermore, it seems like everyone who has had this issue, of TCG items disappearing, have all had them go at seemingly random times. I’ve seen reports of items disappearing before mine ever left, and I’ve seen reports from after.

This is a really strange thing, not sure what’s happening, but I, for one, will not stop bickering with customer support until my tabard is returned AND I am compensated for the grief they have caused me, the time they have wasted, and for just blatantly lying to me.

This is completely ridiculous, and it very much seems like they are trying to sweep it under the rug and just say “well its in ur appearance collection so its ok”, completely disregarding anyone’s prestige or attachment they may have had to these items they’ve had for years.

any luck yet? same thing happened to me. i would just like my epic purple shirt back but the GMs ive spoken to are 0 help.

I’m posting here just to jump in with needing an Epic Purple Shirt equipment piece restored.

Since the on use is unique, it’s a disappointment that it would simply be removed and that is “working as intended”

i made like 10+ tickets and the end result was them saying that it was an intended thing by the devs to remove my epic purple shirt(even tho lots of others kept theirs rofl) and that if i keep making tickets to try to get it back they will take action towards my account in either a suspension or a ban so good luck with that…

Starting to lose hope. No acknowledgement from Blizzard and their post about permanent loss of some guild bank items due to that bug makes me think we’re all screwed.

I actually did the item upgrade boost thing they have for inactive characters which removes all equipped items and places them in your mail… I have a TCG tabard in the mail on one of my characters that I can’t retrieve. “Internal mail database error” or something of the sort when I try.

These tabards continue to be available on the BMAH, so they aren’t intentionally removed in any capacity. We’re talking upwards of 10 million gold for some of us spent on these over the last 10+ years. Insane.

it’s batshit insane to think that they fucked up, lost our items, then when we b[i]tch to them, they give bullsh[i]t canned responses that are, very easily, verifiably untrue. Then when you continue to bi[t]ch to them, because they are blatantly lying to you, they will just action your account? like what kind of fucked up, backwards a[s]s customer service is this?

I missing a Magic Rooster Egg from the whole guild bank debacle. Would be nice if they treated TCG items with a little bit more priority, since they don’t exist anymore.

Still nothing - have had two tickets (nothing recently) and all they’ve said is to report it as a bug to the devs and hope they fix.

Like others have mentioned, everything is still in the wardrobe for appearance purposes, but specifically the Epic Purple Shirt having an on-use for the physical item is a huge loss.

Same here - I spent millions of gold collecting all 8 physical tabards + Epic Purple Shirt and for them to be completely wiped out randomly with no recourse is a travesty.

From everything I’ve seen regarding this matter some have had their items returned and others completely disregarded and threatened to have actions placed against them/their accounts.

This is a very backwards scenario in which the GMs and Devs are approaching this and there really seems to be no communication between their team in that regard.

How does it reason that some users get theirs returned to them promptly and others are completely hoodwinked and tossed to the side? If one acknowledged the wrongdoing and managed to return the items, then it stands to reason that other GMs would be able to do the same given the history of the bug report and the data presented on the accounts - but it seems they haven’t communicated to one another at all on the matter and are approaching it completely differently from one scenario to the next in the same related TCG item wipes.

It clearly isn’t an intentional development feature, and it is most definitely a bug. Why haven’t they created some form of protocol to evaluate these instances and then to subsequently follow said protocol to recover/return said items? My opinion - No communications between team members at Blizzard and it is resulting in an absolute mess where the players are suffering and in some instances being threatened for wanting their hard-earned, and in some instances personally attached to, items back.

yep my brother had the same issue and got all of his physical tcg tabards back within 2 tickets. i made 10 tickets and i didnt even care about the tcg physical tabards i just wanted my epic purple shirt i spent millions of gold on back… and they denied me every ticket and threatened action if i made another ticket.

Same issue with me. I lost my Epic Purple Shirt and Tabard of the Void. I used to buy TCG packs and was so happy I got the epic purple shirt. I submitted a ticket as of about a month ago and got a response saying it was a known issue and can’t do anything on a singular basis since it was a wider known issue. The fact that some people got theirs restored just shows that maybe some GMs just don’t care about the player base. Blizzard needs to fix this.

Did anyone ever get any resolution here? There’s another post here Epic Purple Shirt is gone from my inventory - #33 by Kiekö-laughing-skull with a similar issue and it looks like the issue truly is widespread with no recourse or acknowledgement from Blizzard.

A simple fix here would be to make these physical items account-wide unlocks from Landro if you have unlocked the appearance. (This would give people who received some as Twitch promotions the physical item instead of just the appearance which I think is fine).
