If people didn’t wring their braggart “privileges” for all the time leading up to before they were released as Twitch drops or in-game events, that is on THEM, not Blizzard.
I like the way you think.
Gimme my money back!
My brother in christ it’s like $28 worth of gold lol
That’s the thing, they aren’t.
Anybody who thought they had value to begin with was not thinking because they can completely disappear any day, as in when Blizz shuts down WoW. Thinking digital goods have any lasting value shows a lack of comprehension that anything stored as bits can vanish without warning.
People care too much of what other’s have, and they really shouldn’t. If you are truly an avid collector, you don’t care what others have.
I have over 700 mounts and over 1500 unique pets, and the first thought is never along the lines is: “i feel less special because someone else has something i had previously.”
You aren’t a collector, you just use it to flaunt some made up “social status” to make yourself feel better about yourself because nothing of worth is actually going on in your life.
I do it irl, all 100% live. I’m the type who gets snarky with the jerks who treat retail or restaurant workers badly. It’s joyous to get donkeys to walk away when I do that.
So am I. We’ve had plenty of time to enjoy the mounts/pets/whatever. I could give a good hot damn if other players now have access to them. I think it’s great other people get to use them now. I’m happy for it.
Oh, god, please. You are not owed anything. You got to enjoy feeling “special” (excuse me while I roll my eyes ) for quite a few years now. Calm down, go do something that actually matters in life and let other people have fun with the durn things.
Nothing. We had them for years before anyone else got them. We got our money’s worth.
It was use TCG stuff or make all new assets. Of course they were going to reuse TCG stuff.
there you go, fixed it for you.
LOL and what I love Nobully this so called big time collector doesn’t even have one of those cubs in its collection…LMAO…
I finally achieved gold cap back in early feb and every single day i’ve been checking the BMAH. Staying up until 1:30am for reset. Month and a half ago it finally appeared and i was very excited, but only had 9,999,998 on me at the time. So that’s what i bid. I had assumed, wrongly, that the way it still worked was the next bid had to be by a certain % so i thought safe bid. They apparently changed that in bfa, an important lesson learned. Seen like 9 raptors over the few realms i’ve checked but no more tigers v.v
Damn, that sucks man.
Fingers crossed that you’ll get the next one.
I’ve only ever won one item off the BMAH myself, lol, and I think that was one of those unclaimed RNG boxes, back in MoP.
Okay Karen.

I hate it when people are rude to cashiers at small businesses or restaurants. Because somehow it’s the drive thru cashier making minimum wage who is at fault for corporate deciding to discontinue an item.
On the other hand, sometimes they absolutely deserve it.
Not for discontinuing an item but for awful service.
There was never any agreement that the TCG loot would remain exclusive forever and not be brought back in the future via alternative means. If you just assumed it was eternally exclusive that’s entirely on you and you still got to enjoy years of exclusivity anyway.
I’ve had my Magic Rooster for years and idc if they make it free it will still remain one of my fav ground mounts in the game. People put way too much value into pixels I swear
because people like the OP like to price gouge
i don’t have much in the way of TCG stuff.
…and i wouldn’t call myself a “big time” collector, just a mid-level one.
My husband and I tip very well (I’ll sometimes tip at 100% for like a haircut or whatever). When servers are being donkeys for no reason, they get shown that by the percentage of the tip left.
In grocery stores, however, I have no real way to show appreciation. So I do what I can by popping off at people being douches to the workers. It is something that works very well, because now their attention is on me and not the worker. Useful tactic to just get the Karen out of the way, and shoo them off lol.
With the TGC items, that’s a given since TGC was separate from WoW itself, only the rewards were a cross-promotional thing.
Also, with the upcoming patch, the mega-dungeon drops this:
Reins of the Quantum Courser.
It’s an item that can turn into any mount in the game, or a least a good selection of mounts that are in the game. In a video, a guy was rewarded the Midnight mount from one of these items.
I wouldn’t be too surprised, or even upset, if it had a chance to become a ZG tiger, especially because it’s literally from “a time long past”.
The big (or small) concern is whether or not it’s a ‘smart’ item, and won’t give you something you already have.
I just think there’s a correct way to handle these sought-after items, rather than just putting them on the Trading Post.
