Tbc without GDKP

Because its less convenient than doing it directly in game ? isn’t that just common sense.

Sure many do, but a lot will pug their alts and gdkp with bis mains to get gold.

Doing progression with a good guild makes perfect sense, but after content is fully cleared it makes less sense to force oneself to a set raid schedule - and very few people want to raid with bis toons unless speedrunners or GDKPs.

There are no good player on era. That’s why gdkp is the main loot system. Alts raids and splits are a foreign concept to them man.

So you make thousands of posts every week begging desperately for gdkps to return because you are… slight inconvenienced?

At least come up with better lies lol

Hide behind a lvl 14 alt and can’t post on your main and think people take anything you say seriously ?

Hiding your profile won’t stop people from putting you on ignore welcome to the list.

Blizzard seems to take me plenty serious since they have kept gdkps banned. :joy: :joy:

And that’s why gdkp isn’t coming back. Their biggest spokesperson can’t even handle being called out on their lies.

Once upon a time I did so. Pug alts that is.
But never again.
Always within guild now.
Watching some angry swiper man lose dst only to suddenly end up with it after a back n forth with the organizer that involved a supposed crypto exchange was enough for me.

Y’all have had gdkp in Era and it might be pointless to impose change there. But the “clean” slate of newer servers? The policy to disallow them is fine.

At least with a GDKP you get your payout and never join them again :stuck_out_tongue:

If that happens with a guild you lose all your dkp / progress within that guild if you need to swap to another guild because leadership turns out to be corrupt.

But yeah I agree with you, they should leave GDKP-banned on anniversary. That way anti-gdkp players have a home as well.

Fun fact:
I dropped raid as soon as I saw what was going down. Didn’t wait for the pot split. Got a message and told them to recalculate without me and to screencap our convo.

Gladly stick with my guild and our “corrupt because they all are” loot council. It’s not that I’m against gdkp in theory. But in practice with greedy loot goblin swipers? NO.

What

This is a bit extreme i think - In my time on Era I’ve joined GDKPs hosted by probably 100 different leads, and ran with my fav leads prob 50-100 times, there are plenty of good runs. Out of all those runs there were maybe just a couple sketchy things and loot disputes.

LC is great and my fav loot system for when I run with a guild - but I personally hate feeling pressured to show up at a specific time to play a video game so I only do it during progression.

Era is a smaller pop and mostly people that are long time invested. People know each other. Even on Mankrik it felt, in that respect, about as close to a 2005 server as we may ever be able to get.

Prog wasn’t like that.
It’s why I dropped TBCC for a while and dinked around in SOM and Era. I was playing catch up when I returned to TBCC and gearing alts I knew I wanted to play in Wrath so I turned to pugs to do that.

It was a different vibe in TBCC progression from that on Era now. To me anyway.

Oh and I LOVE LC but it used to get trashed here a lot and the hyperbole was real. So the quotation marks in my comments.

buying your gear isnt a skill hurdle. you let your wallet carry you.

As opposed to the basically AFK keyboard turners in SR pugs who get gear, LOL

you dont like playing with the casual raider thats fine make your own groups and vet the people without using gdkps. oh thats right no one will join your pug groups unless they get something in return. sounds like an issue with the pug scene not the actual casuals

The pug scene is a subset of the casual scene.

No GDKP is fine with me, it’ll just mean that I won’t pug under any circumstances and play the game less - I’m far from being alone in this mindset. I’m sure people playing less is good for the game’s health.

I’ve conceded that it’s never coming back: the devs are too deep in their belief that removing options from their playerbase is a good thing.

The pug scene is Full of alts of good players you guys keep telling me so its a mind set issue with the 1% of players get off your high horse thinking you are above playing with casuals

PLaying with casuals is fine, SR pugs just attract some of the worst.

They have no problem with keyboard turners when those keyboard turners toss 100k gold into the pot. The typical hypocrisy of pro-GDKPers. They constantly say how it’s unfair that bad players win gear just by rolling high, but they’re perfectly willing to carry total scrubs if said scrubs fill their pockets with RMT gold.
