TBC Population will be 90 percent horde on every server

were blood elf rets the most sought after dps in tbc? i mean i dont really think any of it matters unless these guys were topping meters on the daily… comparing marginal differences in dps that a hybrid class can deal

Sadly any serious PVP guild will roll horde. BGS arent really a thing in TBC its all about arenas and with the majority of min-maxers going horde for the better paladins this will cause top end players to roll horde aswell so they have the opportunity to play with other skilled players

It’s 25 man raids so there’s less spaces for a ton of variety like classic with 40 man raids. We had one ret iirc, it’s been a long time since then, but no they don’t top the damage charts, but horde rets can at least compete. Alliance rets don’t compete as well. To compare against classic, How many boomkins are in classic raiding? Why do the majority of DPS druids opt for feral over boomy? Sure there are memers out there, but no serious guilds bring boomies as main spec.

The reason, imo, that this matters will only be important in sunwell due to fights like muru. But as I said, I’d bet we get the nerfbat version of tbc, so most of this discussion will be irrelevant

  1. tbc is just classic but better. 2) the reason is racials, especially for pvp. In tbc (similar to classic but to a slightly lesser degree) pve will be very easy and doable, the racials hardly matter because today’s player base >>> tbc difficulty. Memeing aside it won’t be quite 90% (and this ya nothing to do with pvp realms… but arena)

Tbc population will be 90% of shadowlands players pissed at what kind of fail they do with pvp once again.

Honestly this is ez fix, just throw a buff to seal of command or seal of vengeance I don’t think anyone would care. Alliance racials are low key really good for pvp way better than people think.

If BE racials are so strong that 90% of players will be horde why wasn’t classic 90% ally for humans?

Hey, My serious raid team brings a boomkin AND a ret pally! And we have a 1 hour AQ clear time.

Granted they both did less damage than an under-geared alt-rogue, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love and value them all the same!

The only thing Blizzard will do to fix the issue is introduce paid faction changes.

Stackable AoE silence that’s instant AND gives resources back and doesn’t suffer from DR.

The only people min/maxing back then were the world first guilds. Everyone is doing it now.

So, how will all those people switch to Horde? Will they reroll from level 1, while existing 60s get to 70 ahead of them? Will they abandon their guilds and friends if not everyone wants to switch to Horde?

Remember, blood elves cannot be warriors, druids, or shaman. How many night elf druids are going to willing scarper their character to roll a tauren druid just to play Horde with people swapping to blood elf? (And faction change wasn’t a thing until Wrath.)

As I understand most of the private server situations, they were one-offs - you rolled on a TBC realm from the get-go. Here we’ve rolled on WOW Classic, and we still aren’t certain how Blizzard is going to handle the transition or addition of TBC Classic. Unless they segregate them completely and make everyone roll from scratch, there are going to be a lot of people sticking with the characters they already have put work into.

So, yes, the FotM crowd will heavily lean Horde and Blood Elf on PvP realms, but it’s not a problem that Blizzard needs to fix. It’s a problem those players are going to cry about the consequences of, just like those players cry about everything.
