TBC+: necessary change

Replace blood elves with goblins.

No one likes belfs.

Goblins are the uber race.

  1. Why are you bringing up changes to BC in the Classic forum? People already tend to froth at the mouth when you bring up changing Classic, let alone Burning Crusade, lol.

  2. Have to overall disagree. The reason for BElfs in BC was because they were former high elves turned very bitter. It allowed the devs to bring in Paladins to the Horde. Goblins on the other hand were the perfect neutral race. Everyone can talk to them for quests, and towns like Booty Bay, Ratchet, and especially Gadgetzan are beloved by the community as a whole.

People tend to froth at the mouth over a good hard sneeze. Or even my retail avatar.

It’s reasonable to talk about TBC here because Blizzard is considering it for the next step after Classic. Let’s get the release requirements on the table.

I take your point that removing belfs would break a lot of lore. Personally I don’t care because “lore lol” but I understand it’s a big deal for lots of folks.

But really, do we need a race rock stars and Instagram dilettantes? What about if they just substituted goblins for belfs… but still called them belfs.

Now there’s a win-win for eveyone!

We should just remove Orcs. I realize they are an important part of Lore… but Lore LOL.

See how foolish that sounds.

As an avid promoter for Classic+, there’s been plenty of these topics on the forums.

That being said, the conversations should be held more toward the end of the phases for Classic.

Agree. We’re not even half way through the phases.

As a horde player… Sure!

Also, abolish paladins. Replace with something less stupid… like a bard.

Yes. Less stupid.

They should make a retail plus where we get rid of:

Goblins
Worgen
Vulpera
Mechagnomes

Then make Tuaren and Nelves their own faction. Or just have blizzard send everyone back in time to just after wrath and stop the cataclysm. Make the game good.

Does anyone like Goblins? I forgot they even existed.

No changes. If you don’t like TBC, don’t play it when it (possibly) comes out.

I’d argue that having blood elves added to the Horde added a depth to the Horde that was easily dismiss able prior to the release of TBC; that the horde isn’t simply a band of “monster races” and that they will take anyone who walked in exile into their ranks.

#nochanges.

Lol I would totally sport a Gobbo Paladin in BC. Doubt it would happen, but would be funny.

I am not part of the #nochanges crowd, so as long as they don’t mess with the BC talent tree’s and such idc what else they add for QOL, minigames or cosmetics, sans Cross Server Dungeons queues.

Goblins are the best race

You’re right; removing orcs sounds foolish. But… BELFs? Just makes sense.

True dat, but I’m afraid I’ll have to go with #NoChanges.

No! This isn’t a minor change and needs to be factored into the feature commit list well before the project actually starts.
