I know that, youre comparing an anomaly (2019 rerelease trilogy) to what we have now. which is essentially just a regular fresh classic which is pretty dead already, and a TBC with no hype backing this rerelease
all tbc pservers die after gruul/mag. every single one every single time. I dont even know why they did them
The game has been run out clean. Too much of it. They shoulda waited another 5 years to rerelease everything
Sort of, the point is valid. But SOM had like 3k players and most people dont even consider sod anything relevant in the “vanilla” sphere The fresh was definitely very sudden with no hype to build.
They should have waited legit till after “classic legion” to even consider redoing the trilogy
when i say tbc is doa i dont ltierally mean its gonna look like era or sod p3, ppl will play, but you are not going to see a massive influx of players than you see now, for many reasons. Many wont even play due to its difficulty, which will axe the current “anniv pop” you see now.
Just the way it is. I like tbc but yeh were not gonna see anything playerwise like current cata pop
cata is the flagship currently, even after everyone said it should have ended there. funny how that works lol
Sure, you can do good damage early on with a crafted mace. As the expansion goes - you will do below average damage unless you are lucky enough to get a DST, and eventually in Black Temple Glaives.
This is all researchable by the way, what I’m stating about Rogues in TBC is exactly how it played out in TBC Classic. You brought one for Improved Expose Armor, they typically did not get double/triple lusted unless they were DST/Glaive havers.
A caveat which I didn’t mention in my initial post, was I’m speaking solely from a PVE aspect at the top end, which make no mistake, you will not be clearing pre-nerf content in TBC if you are not at the top end. 5% clear rates for Vashj pre-nerf of which some were cheesing the pillar to kite her to get their kill. In PVP rogues are probably the best class in TBC, if not top 3.
So when I state that the class doesn’t function without DST/Glaives - I’m speaking towards the top end of PVE raiding. Keep in mind, TBC is the first iteration of Combat Potency - which changes the way that the class functionally plays with haste as the modifier. More haste via procs like the glaives and DST in your opener equals more energy, which smooths your rotation out when you are the designated armor debuffer for you raid.
I gather you thought you were correct in stating Rogues will be in a good spot in TBC, and you are not - they suck in PVE - and anyone (like myself) who played one could tell you that. Unless and of course you acquire the two most sought after items in the expansion (Glaives / DST).
all my memories of end-of-expansion raids are tainted forever by how long we had to farm them. ICC, dragonsoul, siege of orgrimmar, hellfire citadel every single time. I haven’t kept up with raiding since legion, so hopefully blizzard have learned pacing by now.
Nobody cares that much about loot types, while yes, GDKP is probably the best pugging loot system, it doesn’t matter and who are in it for the long haul and want TBC. There will be more than enough to maintain a good population with guilds that raid all content. Also if loot type makes that much of a difference to you, you simply wont be missed.
Agree for the most part I pretty much never pug outside of GDKPS which tend to be pretty solid for older content, mainly I stick to guild runs, SR raids just tend to both fail to often as well as be to toxic, and it’s simply not worth the bother to deal with the cost due to the raid failing over and over.
Obviously lots of SR pugs succeed so its no all of them, my experience however has been poor, and often its simply not worth my time unless I am helping out a friend, then I simply choke down the cost. If you find a good one stay with it.
If you dont do these changes it doesnt matter because we will just min/max the groups anyway and get the buffs, making them raid wide just makes it easier to recruit and overall raid.
It doesnt do anything to the bosses difficulty since we would have the buffs anyway.
My guy thinks windwall will somehow make Vashj easier lmfao, -100 ranged damage rofl
