But it’s Classic TBC. People came back to play the xpac they enjoyed most. Why change it for convenience? TBC was anything but convenient, that’s why you felt a sense of accomplishment that disappeared in Wrath and Cata. It was a time when investing in your character and your spec meant something. There was no achievements to unlock. You wore your gear as a badge of honor because Blizzard didn’t start giving it away yet. Everyone knew who the best Tanks or Healers on the server were no matter what guild they were in. The pain of leveling as a holy priest or a holy pally was real but rewarding, when it came to dungeon runs. Let the golden age of WOW be the way it is. Let’s us all enjoy it without the conveniences that slowly and ultimately killed this game.
I cant tell if you’re trolling or not ? someone standing in fire because they’re looking down at their spells is a reason not to include a secondary spec? I’m not even going to argue with that point.
PvP spec in your raid will wipe your group too
Dual specs won’t change any of that.
-
there still wont be any achievements to unlock
-
the gear remains the same
-
the best tanks / healers will still be the best tanks / healers. it wont change just because they decide to switch to a dps spec and do some pvp or dailies now and again. they’re still going to be the best tanks.
-
you are still free to level in holy if thats your thing. have fun with that.
in regards to you saying “when it came to dungeons runs” i assume you mean because there is a mass shortage of tanks / healers for dungeons and this allowed you to get groups easily and gear up quicker at max level. yes this is true, and id argue a large amount of the community believe is one of the arguments for a secondary spec.
Ok but I can argue you got all the conveniences you wanted in later xpacs. You got to enjoy your dual spec. But this is Classic. A time before dual spec. A time before dungeon finder. A time before raid finder. A time when trying to summon one to a dungeon and getting ambushed at the summoning stone. It’s all inconvenient. It’s a harsh grind. But it’s what made this game the best it ever was.
Are you really going to argue that when THEY ADDED A BOOST and mount to the store?
I vote this chick uninstalls.
I hated the idea of dual spec when it first gained huge traction during LK.
Once it came out, I loved it. PvE is generally not worth spending the money on to respec out of a PvP spec the way I enjoy playing the game. Having two specs and gear sets is a massive QoL improvement.
You can still make “choices” matter too like people were discussing. Something as simple as once you enter a specific raid/BG/Arena instance you cannot change your spec within that same lockout period.
For PvP, that’s in between games. For raid lockouts, that’s weekly resets. Simple solution to all the hybrid class arguments and arguments for “it gives more players opportunity to get into raid groups”.
Yes! Dual spec would be so amazing!
to bad activision seem to only be making tbc changes that most people dont want. maybe we should have asked for no dual spec then they’d be quick to put it in.
My humble vote - No.
If you want duel specs, go play retail. Simple as.
You don’t speak for all players which clearly shows you’re wrong lol

I agree. Dual spec would be great for the game, for PvP’ers, PvE and Arenas.
Cap the respec cost to like 2 gold
Dual spec would be great for TBC!! i dont see any negatives sides for adding this to the game.
Or they can simple add some kind of CD to change spec, like 1-2 or 3 hours, and if you want to change it back on cd you can do it in a trainer paying gold (like we usually do)
I think its unbelievable how run down tanks are on TBC classic servers!
Think about how many people are just looking for an hour for a tank for a lower level dungeon. Give people the opportunity to tank, give people the opportunity to heal.?
I’ve been a heal bot for all of Classic, I literally click a few buttons on my mouse as I hover over raid frames. I love healing, but I really would love to get more out of this game by playing shadow.
Adding dual spec into classic would only improve everyone’s experience of this game, not ruin it.
Don’t hide it behind an arena rating or charge 5k gold. GIVE IT TO LITERALLY EVERYONE and watch people enjoy playing the game for what it is. Not sitting in LFG contemplating on rerolling a class that is desired for dungeons.
I don’t want dual spec.
Please bring dual spec into TBC classic… Whole guild have to wait till Saturday night when all 6 raids finished pve. Then respec and play pvp on Sun&Mon… We lost so much fun during the weekdays!
Yes! Please! Everyone wants this without question.
