TBC can't come soon enough

1. You’re right, SoD is better than Vanilla. For me thought, Vanilla is the “You think you do, but you don’t” adage, it’s very slow and tedious.

2. “TBC stinks” that’s just like…your opinion man. I enjoyed BC immensely, as did many others I assume. You may look at the numbers (data) and be like “Well, it wasn’t THAT popular” but to me it was super fun and I’d love to play it again.

For me personally though, Cata was when it started going downhill until MoP came out, and then WoD sucked so badly that half the player base quit, but Legion redeemed itself by a large metric. You may see large numbers for an expansion, but it doesn’t mean it’s good.

Quality > Quantity

I enjoyed it during recent classic before they progressed to Wrath. I enjoyed it in original release back in the day. I am confident I will enjoy it again.
