Since the latest update to 2.5.6 on 7/7/2026, the sorting options for the auction house are no longer working for me. This is happening after restarting the game and using no addons
The auction house is set by default to sort by “Current Bid” and by “Total Price”.
The options to sort by “Buyout” and “Unit Price” do nothing when selected. Refreshing the auction house search or resorting the auction house does nothing to respect your sorting choices and automatically changes the sorting options back to “Current Bid” and “Total Price”
This is detrimental to those who do not employ any auction house addons as now the only view you can get in the auction house will only show the 1c bid - 1800g buyout listings and other low bid high buyout listings first every time no matter what.
If you want to find a larger stack than x1 you will have to scroll through the pages until you get to the larger stacks then mouse over them individually one by one to see what the unit price is on each of them

I am having the exact same problem. I always use total buyout price and price by unit now I cannot making hard to sell items.

+1 to include myself in the requesters asking this be fixed. I can confirm this is the case even with all addons disabled, so this is a bug in the base client and not caused by conflicts with my addons.

For me the worst result of the sorting options not working is that the low bid extremely high buyout “scam” auctions are all listed first now for every item (not a real “scam”, but no player will ever intend to but these auctions).
Not only is it inconvenient, but it actively puts harmful and deceitful auctions first making it easier for people to mistakenly pay 500% up to 500,000% more for an item than they intended to

Please fix this! I’ve stopped selling on the AH because it’s too hard to determine current going rate.

Still no fix? Very hard to buy and sell… is there at least an add-on I can use or something?
The Booty Bay Broker website may be a good way to review price trends. Not as convenient as the in-game tool, though (when it works).

+1 I also have this issue and it is incredibly annoying - it makes it difficult to buy/sell. I stopped using the auction house for a couple of days in the hopes the problem would be resolved but as there was no change I’ve simply started trying to manually sift through all the “scam” listings etc… Hopefully it gets fixed soon!
