What is the explanation in lore for tauren warlocks?
I mean we do have the fel totem tribe i believe is there name. Besides i dont think the warlock classs needs lore to support it.
Since i think warlock is just any caster who wanted more power and starts messing with dark magic to obtain which every one of the races are subject to greed for power.
I believe the only race not suseptible to greed might be the naruu. Though even them can fall over as well i think.
big moo moo go pew pew
The explanation is simply this.
Not canon.
Basically, like all the other races, the Tauren realised they needed power beyond what they were using to deal with threats. So, they learnt how to be Warlocks!
- The Bloodtotem Tribe from Highmountain “became” the Feltotem, but we see a Bloodtotem Tauren Warlock in the Spirit Pools in Mulgore
- The Grimtotem Tribe also had warlocks; in the new questline, Agrox Gand is cousin to a Grimtotem warlock + in that patch they added an NPC of the “Soultotem” tribe that is where Magatha Grimtotem used to be located and is labeled as a warlock
- You can be a “warlock” in the sense of “dark shamanism” because Destruction warlocks have always canonically used elemental fire magics but just forced or without control or extreme forms of elemental magic
- Etc
Wrong and cope
Saying “cope” about something unanimous is cope. Get better.
there’s already tauren warlock NPCs that function within the canon and have been for years
Cope
The same as every other race. It’s a pretend world where you can cast spells.
Then don’t play one. Problem solved.
I would never. Doesn’t mean I can’t cringe when I see one, which, thankfully is rare anyway, because well, a lot of people just don’t accept it lol.
I’d like to point something out. Even if you think something is ridiculous, claiming “iTs CaNoN bEcaUse tHe BaD WriTeRs SaY sO.” doesn’t change the situation.
If the developers and writers implement something in game, that makes it canon by definition. It has nothing to with being a “slave of the matrix” and has everything to do with the fact that it official content. Who would be silly enough to even claim that it’s not canon.
Reject it all you want, it’s still canon.
I mean…cloven hooves are kinda demonic.
Spoken like a true slave of the Matrix. L+ ratio.
I missed the part where that’s my problem.
Yes It is, there is a Questline, so its Canon.
Yeah for reachers
I just pretend the lore is the Tauren realizing after all these years that nature is one of the weakest forms of magic so a select few of them sought out something more potent and ended up dabbling in fel magic
