You’re taking things out of context just to argue. It’s obvious the OP is toxic and I’m telling them to be quiet if they aren’t willing to play nice.
No, I just know my role, and don’t let my ego override the group.
Your “role” is whatever gets the dungeon completed successfully and generally as fast as possible.
Sometimes that means being a healing turret sometimes it means dps sometimes that means pulling mobs and dying so people can run through. No one’s “role” is black and white.
Ah, another Aviela troll post. sips coffee
Basically, this.
I play games for fun and challenge. What’s the point in forcing yourself into a certain category and getting all fussy about things? You do what works best. If we pull off an insane pull and survive, but we had to try a bit hard, oh boo hoo, we did something cool.
People need to re-learn how to push themselves…
lol
Glad you added to your comment…I will refrain from what I was about to say to you…other than, have a good day.
How does this come up so often? It’s not a huge deal either way.
Dps pulls and I have taunt, aoe spells, and the option to let them deal with it themselves. Usually all 3 options end in success.
Healers don’t get angry when I heal myself and need them less. Why would I be upset with a dps who can tank a mob?
If the group is wiping then deal with it on a case by case basis. There’s really no value in trying to make this some massive issue.
People need to relearn how to communicate in a game that requires you in some aspects to play with others. It isn’t all about you.
You want a challenge, that’s what M+ is for. Basic dungeons are for those learning, and for just doing quests attached to said dungeons, and for xp. Don’t like the pace, create your own group and go ham.
So this depends, but generally yes. As primarily a Disc priest, I appreciate when a tank is willing to actually keep themselves alive a bit, so my damage can sustain them along with it.
I like to purposefully never quite top off the tank, especially DKs, so they can get full use out of their kits.
How is pulling tiny little pulls and refusing to push your limits and improve “learning”? In that case you shouldn’t CARE if you pull too big. afterall, you’re there to learn.
Maybe the people pulling more know something you don’t then, hmm?
As a HEALER, sorry but youre wrong.
yeah…LATE content you can get away with it because your overgeared.
when you aint, you need to let the damage sponge tank pull and keep as much damage coming at him for the HEALERS sake.
I get it. No one cares or appreciates those quiet healers keeping you alive…but trust me…when we aint overgeared enough to solo the place, most healers would prefer you just do your job and let the tank do his.
Personally I disagree. If anyone has someone healing a dungeon called avel(class name) then feel free to pull more and faster.
Learning starts when comfort zones end
for now.
Wait till SL’s drops and we’re all paper dolls again BEGGING the tank to save us lol
That’ll be a hard disagree from me. Healing is boring if everything’s predictable and the healing is easy. I’d prefer a little stress for some big satisfying pulls and more fun. Clear is faster, too.
No better way for me to learn how to deal with the new mechanics though.
by wiping 14 times?
I dont need to have DPS pulling to learn a run, thanks. lol
Obviously not. You increase pulls until they get sketchy then dial it back a smidgen
More power to ya.
I saw enough wipes earlier in Legion to have my fill of DPS who dont play the game as designed causing both tanks and healers to stop doing either role.
right…ok…so you DONT just pull everything in sight.
