I mean… I’ve kicked a tank in timewalking for not pulling, is that the same thing???
The tank literally was just strafing side to side and refused to pull until I (the healer) got fed up and pulled for him. He lost aggro on every mob and frantically ran around in circles pressing taunt on the one target he hit with heroic throw (that was now back hitting him). This chaos contined until the pack was cleared at which point he typed in say chat “heal me”.
I initiated the vote to kick and it passed in under 2 seconds, the replacement tank appeared 8 seconds later and we finished the dungeon (jade serpent temple) and got the silly go fast achievement.
So the op might be trolling, maybe. But Ive definitely seen it happen first hand at least once (granted ive been running timewalking all day every day this week on alts prepping for df and this is the only time all week ive seen a vote kick used)
I’ve been kicked just for wanting to wait for someone to catch up. If you’re running with a rando group who happen to be friends then they have all the power. Plus a lot of people just click “yes” no matter what and don’t think they’re kicking a tank.
I want to heal and not do DPS while healing
I want my tank/group to take less damage so I don’t have to heal as much
Ultimately I just want to /follow the group, doing nothing, being lazy, getting the rewards.
I think healing is honestly the easiest role because I usually stack my deck with high ilvl players in low M+ keys and such so I don’t have to do anything.
It’s how I would get a fresh 60 then immediately jump into healing keystones with 0 gear.
And even when I am geared, I prefer to not have to do much.
Yeah healer can take hand off the mouse, stop healing for a bit, take a break, not care about numbers.
As a DPS or tank I feel I always have to be pressing spells, hand gets sore and I just feel annoyed. I play them occasionally as alts, but a healer more my style. I also usually am watching YouTube as I am doing content. I used to raid heal with another healer who was always watching movies on Netflix during raids. So it isn’t just me lol.
I don’t really care enough to police logs, but if what you say is true it’s all the better. Means they have a sense of humor and play well, a good combination.
Tonight we had a reason for somebody to afk for a moment, asked the tank in chat to hold up for 30 seconds and not pull the room.
Tank ignores it and pulls the room.
Rest of the group sits back and waits, tank dies, rages, calls us brain dead hunters (two hunters in the group) and then promptly get told off by the people who waited and kicked.
Because he was politely asked to wait, that should be the only reason needed, but the person who asked to wait was the healer and only needed about 30 seconds.
If the tank responded, we might have changed our minds, he did not, and then he raged.
Sorry, all I see is 3 people who were toxic to a tank. Just pull. What’s the worse that can happen ? You don’t get hurt in real life if you get hurt in game. At least it gives you something to do while waiting.
Dude, there’s plenty of dungeon to enjoy. He’s not going to be mad missing out on a trash pull or two.
I don’t know anyone who would be. Heck if I said “brb 30 secs” and came back to the 4 other guys just waiting there, I’d be massively disappointed myself.
You were toxic to a tank that did the only sensible thing there was : keep going and 4 man the dungeon.
We specifically asked the tank to wait, he didn’t respond, ignored the request, and pulled
That is all the justification needed. Those 30 seconds wouldn’t have inconvenienced him in any way. Tank needs to learn patience and by the sound of it so do you
