I tried ranking again for the start of this expansion. Nope. The only mechanic should be spank and tank, mechanics are for DPS. Tanks should only be focused on maximizing their own DPS. That’s how to fix tanking.

I love tanking. A lot. Do it on almost every MMO.

I hate it on WoW because the community is loaded to bear with people that absolutely refuse to take accountability of their own screw-ups and will blame tanks and healers instead.

There is not a lack of tanks. Go to the guild recruitment forum and see what guilds are looking for – they are NOT looking for tanks.

There is a lack of people who are willing to put up with tanking for pugs. That’s not the same thing as a lack of tanks, because it’s a problem with the people in pugs, not a problem with tanking.

In BC people said “there aren’t enough tanks” even though the number of tanking classes had gone up from 1 in vanilla to 3 in BC.

So Blizzard added Death Knights to make 4, and still people said “not enough tanks”.

So Blizzard added Monks to bring it to 5, and people still said “not enough tanks”.

So Blizzard added DH’s to bring it to 6, and people still said “not enough tanks”.

Every time Blizzard adds another tank class, the number of tanks seems to remain the same because “not enough tanks” remains the mantra.

There is no lack of tanks, never was. The problem is with pugs, not with tanking.

To be fair, those tanking classes they added have really crappy tanking specs in terms of fun imo. I’m still waiting for a new tanking class with an actually fun rotation.

I think blizz needs to ease up on the tank affixes in m+ and just make tanking easier for all classes.

No they don’t.

If anything, tanking is too easy. Blizz is afraid to put tanks in a challenging situation; mostly because if they they screw up, it leads to a wipe.

What DOES need to change is the community.
The biggest challenge about tanking is the content nor the mechanics.
It’s all the jerks you have to deal with.

If the community got its act together and stopped being so selfish and abrasive, then there would be no tank shortage… or at least far less of one.

i agree the game is way to hard and punishing, maybe make npc easier? i struggle alot with elite and normal npcs in the open world!

pls blizzard make em easier so not only hardcore players can enjoy bfa! the game is way to hard!!! also why u have so much text in the game? i dont like games were i have to read stuff! pls can u rework bfa and make a Server were we dont have to read anything?

also it would be nice to rework the combat system so i can shoot my rifle and swing my sword like in a shooter!
