Tank Nerf - Where's all the crying?

M0… half of those bosses were solo able at 341 ilvl. you cant really tell much difference with trivial content because its only slightly less trivial, especially when you add gear into the equation.

the change basically adds an extra 38% increased damage by a 20 key level. a 8.5% damage increase at a 10 key level (additively because before it would be 10% DR off the scaling Damage done by mobs per key level.)

seems to be roughly 1-2 key level shift in terms of difficulty if math is right. :thinking:

I barely have to heal the tanks. The only people I HAVE to heal are the DPS and myself. I beacon and forget most of the time.

So what your telling us is you don’t pay attention…

Because on everyone aside from Maybe a warrior and DH it’s a noticeable impact (and I’ve seen DH slow down a slight amount as well now to), Brewmaster was hit especially hard given shouldn’t of been nerfed at all given they are already near (or at) the bottom of the tank roster right now (Guardian Druids are in a similar boat)

It has not had any meaningful impact on Protection Paladins, and we were considered “bottom tier” by many.

Running Halls of Valor today the tank pulled both mini bosses before Hyrja. All of the party died except for the tank. The tank continued to solo both mini bosses while everyone else ran back. If anything, the tank nerfs didn’t go far enough.

Power bottom, maybe.

What key level? The two mini-bosses don’t do much damage as long as you do the mechanics properly.

DH is in S tier right now, Paladin, Warrior and DK are all A Tier

B tier is Guardian and Brew

It’s more of a nerf to healers to be honest :joy:

What list are you looking at? Warrior is S tier and top run keys show that. DK is even above DH.

Dude there is so much unavoidable damage. This is new.

No I distinctly remember people saying paladin are going to be one of the worst tanks.

It’s why I don’t listen to people.

Also powerbottoms require a lot of skill

Honestly as another tank I have to agree. It feels like M0+ are hardier and more annoying because the damage is more bursty instead of sustained. It really is a feast or famine / live or die situation which isn’t really fun to play with.

Yeah, for real. Had a deathknight pull from boss to boss and was fine. The rest of us died but they were fine.

Crying about tanks will come back when the skill cap increases or if dps players become stupid again. Last time I heard compaints about tanks was when tanks were crying about not doing enough damage to hold threat, or, dps not being fast enough for aoe room burns for trash mobs. Tanks being able to hold threat used to take a ton of skill … It feels like now all that needs to be done is shield smash a trashmob and his jaw flies away.

uhmm those 4 bosses are easy. Nothing even made me scared to ask for externals from our healers. And I was on full dps mode

I didn’t push that high because 12 hour shifts but yeah it didn’t hit ‘that’ bad and I’m grateful.

I don’t think for most players it will be of major consequence. I will hit higher keys though I imagine.
