Nope. Once these former healers and DPS taste a bad day in Gnomer or BFD they will go back to their mains and silently sit in a city for hours.
The majority of these âtanksâ are going to quit in their 20s and 30s after they realize the grass isnât greener and tanking isnât easy.
Problematic DPS is the main reason there is a lack of tanks. Donât know what LoS is? Pulling for me? AEing two mobs instead of focus firing my kill target? Gogogogogo pull faster? GTFO of my group and go back to /4 crying about the lack of tanks.
I highly doubt that because hunter solo farming instances is much better than reserving orbs in strat live because itâs consistent and reliable. You only make insane amounts of gold if you can get a decent group, reserve all orbs, and have 3 or more drop. You only have a chance during server primetime and you also need to take into account the time it takes to get a group and get everyone to the instance. Getting that decent group to agree is tough and you probably wonât get it without some raid gear (which you need a tank spot that is by far the hardest spot to get and maintain).
Tanks do dps thatâs close to an actual dps in BFA.
Talking to two stoned dudes in gchat isnât really convincing to most people.
The penalty for playing multiple roles exists both in classic and in bfa.
Yea, but that already applies to the small number of level 60 tanks we currently have. Lots of terribad tanks demanding (and getting) reserved items.
I doubt adding a bunch more tanks will cause any issues.
90% of them wont make 60 dude
Hmmmm, what an odd post by OP.
A bit of tank privilege themed hate, mixed with delusions about ease of play, topped with arrogant expectations.
Funniest thing will be when the shoe is on the foot and the ânew gen tanksâ get to experience the end game with all the hateful bile, loot dramas and mages who canât do anything but whine after blowing thier load in 10 secs of aoe.
Go for it OP, i look forward to it. Please do come back in a month or so and let us know how you fared.
Point to where the tank touched you
The funniest part is that a better pot of gold is a mosty pre-bis mage anyway. Half the reason tanks are talking about charging gold is because they can, but the other half is that many farming spots and strategies simply arenât viable for warriors.
A very small percentage of these âtanksâ you mention will not end up tanking much, if at all (assuming they get very far).
Weâre talking about two different sets of tanks. Youâre talking about tanks who are already at max and thinking of charging for runs. The tanks the OP is talking about are new to tanking and only rolled a tank because they think itâs a goldmine.
I think those are fewer than he thinks, and most of them will realize theyâd rather do dps.
DPS spec Warriors tank dungeons just fine, and arguably better than Prot Warriors because of their massively improved DPS. Itâs unquestionably not worth it for a DPS Warrior who raids as DPS to respec back and forth for the purpose of tanking dungeons.
And what about your DPS Warriors? Do they tank dungeons? They shouldnât be speccing Prot. Or do they avoid dungeons or only go when thereâs a DPS slot open for them?
Until tanks switch to arms to world pvp!
Agree whole heartedly, everytime i see a warr 2h tank i want to scream at them but if healer is fine and no wipes its whatever.
So glad you have come to save the day.
Tanking is just dpsing with reduced damage.
