Taloc Mace Nerf

Thanks for the response but I'm confused. Is this weapon intended to be a transmog only item?

Yes, but due to the what happened originally the ones who got it early will keep it as a weapon they can use. (As it came with a higher ilvl then intended, and they stealth nerfed after people sold/disenchanted their old weapon)

This was (and still is) a bug, but our initial response to discovering the issue had unfair consequences for players who had innocently earned and equipped what appeared to be a great weapon. We’re going to revert the change and proceed with a new fix that only lowers the item level of new drops.

Once this fix is live, anyone who had earned the weapon before our original hotfix should find that it has been restored to its original glory. If you’ve since deleted the weapon after it changed, you can restore it via our CS tools or contact CS directly for assistance.
Well, you guys messed up the original response... good on you for taking a step back and doing the right thing. By the way, you might as well remove it as a Transmog. It's fugly, and no one will use it for this purpose.

...now, can we get a fix for the ridiculous flagging situation in Arathi? This is currently MY "I quit" point.

Total blast from past there!!! <3

I was not affected by this at all, but I sure am happy that you are making it right!
Here's my question.

Do these "transmog" weapons have a drop rate similar to actual drops, and will it overwrite those drops?

I for one would rather have, you know, a usable item, especially a weapon instead of a transmog appearance.

You dont even need to open a ticket. Use the item restore feature to get your old weapon back, you get 1 restore every 15 days.

That's not the point...what would he have to complain about?

In that case I'm still curious as to why this is a transmog only weapon. Why bother giving it an item level and stats to begin with? It just seems like a waste of time.

To do it to begin with was asinine, not thought out, out of touch with your player base, and just generally a poor decision (reflects poorly upon both your leadership, who allowed this travesty to happen in the first place, and poorly upon your organization as whole.) You guys REALLY need to connect back with your playerbase. As it stands, you are so out of touch with them, I am not sure you can reconnect.

But..but...I like it. Just cause you don't doesn't mean others don't.

Well who made this call. Thank You. I say they need a raise. Too many bad decision coming from the game. He or she should have more input in game. Seems someone understands a person game plight. This person could help this game out.

Nah, you'll just find a new "I quit" point after that.

I don't raid, but I found the nerf as it was originally handled a bit upsetting. So: thank you for this. Also: maybe a sticky so that people know?
I misread the title as "Taco Mace"...
Blizzards official response “get wrecked kid”.

So now people who got blessed by RNG to get this piece on week 1 get to keep a piece of bugged loot? Anyone else who gets this item misses out?

No please go on, im interested.
I don't get it, does this mean Khor isn't an "actual" weapon anymore for additional drops? I used an extra roll on both normal and heroic because it has near-perfect stats for a Blood DK, at least given the only alternative being the sword from Mythrax.

Does this mean out of 8 bosses, only 1 will ever drop a 2 handed strength weapon anymore? Isn't this a tad excessive, especially considering the weapon that drops from Mythrax is almost unanimously accepted as worse than Khor for almost any strength class's stat distribution, and he's hidden behind "Zul the pug killer"?

I'm glad someone there realized your initial response to this was ridiculous. However the question remains why did blizzard respond that way? It was incredibly mean spirited
This didn't affect me at all, but I really miss Artifact weapons even more. Props to Blizz for listening and acting.

People did a raid, people got raid loot, there was no mention or indication of a "Cosmetic" item on the loot dungeon journal. People logged in to find their raid item was nerfed into the ground because lol opes its cosmetic.

People earned it, blizzard messed up by not setting the item ID correctly. Players should not be punished for something they would have properly earned, and for many classes were in desperate need of. The way blizzard handled it was very disingenuous.
