I agree. A lot more studios have been catching onto this and avoiding Cali like the plague - as they should do.
I’m so far removed, professionally from that sort of industry but it was so liberating and freeing once I moved out of Cali. Night and day difference. I miss my friends, I miss the beach sure and it wasn’t all about the money, but the quality of life in just about every aspect from income, savings, equity, investment, generational wealth creation, and very importantly: transit was 
compared to what it’s been since I left for infinitely greener pastures.
