Talents & abilities that needs rework:

Ascendance / Primordial wave:
These should be in the class tree… Similar to warrior have Avtar & Spear in their class tree.
Theres are SHARED abilities that are taking up space in all 3 spec tree.

Windfury totem: this is like putting Battle shout, or Arcane intellect as a talent node.

Totemic recall:
Marginally useful if it can reset PVP totems (grounding, static field, etc). But it doesn’t. (bug or intended?)
But even if it does work, it’s a 3 min CD, and an extra button, just for MINOR utility. Will not have any significant impact on our gameplay.
Please actually play an Enhancement shaman, and tell us under WHAT circumstance would you actually use this spell…
A talent as simple as activating the current elemental shields (lightning do aoe dmg around you, earth give dmg absorption, water reduce mana cost） will be much much more applicable than reset minor totems.

Tranquil air is more like a pvp spell, rather than PvE. Should swap with Skyfury so ele finally have some kind of raid utility.

Also Ele capstone has 0 use for ele… Enh capstone has 0 use for Enh. Care to elaborate on the design logic here?

Lava beam - needs tuning on mechanics or SP%

Elemental spirits - Trading 30% guaranteed physical dmg, for 15~30% elemental damage that one might not even use. Who’s the genius that came up with this design??
The previous version isn’t great by any means, at least it actually had interactions with our abilities, instead of just a random static buff that’s not even better than the normal wolf.

And a bunch of minor stuff such as Winds of Al’akir, making spiritwalk/gust of wind way too costly to access.

Storm flurry: Clearly out of place. It’s an SS related spell under Lava lash talent nodes… Need to swap position with elemental weapons (Elemental related spell under SS talent nodes)

Hailstorm: need to swap position with Molten assault. Hailstorm will be utilized in many ST & AOE builds, in its current position, we can’t get it without heavily commit to LL. Why do we have to invest so heavily into LL, when we want a FROST spell?

If you place extreme power nodes in the class tree they will become mandatory. Look at the other things in that tree and tell me if any of them compare to the power level.

We would be asking players to chose between Ascendance and Stoneskin totem.

Also, Primordial wave for enhancements is an insane mess. There is no reason for it to do shadow damage anymore since we are not in shadowlands, there is no reason for it to heal for dps builds, and applying flame shock to make lightning bolts cleave is just random and bonkers.

For resto, remove the damage component from it, for elementals, make it do fire damage, and for enhancements, make it do nature damage and make it cleave on an area instead of cleaving into flameshocked enemies.

Yes, I don’t get it either. Something went very wrong with the making of this node. It wouldn’t be op even with 0 cd due to being hard to justify spending a global cd on it.

Most of the time you would be wanting to relocate 1 totem anyway.

Completely agree. Move all obvious pvp talents to the pvp talent tree. They are just dead nodes at the moment.

Please elaborate. I personally really dislike the randomness associated with it.

Winds of Al’akir is indeed a very random dead node at the base of a tree with lots of dead nodes. Go with the Flow, Surging Shields, Totemic projection, Totemic recall, Call of the elements and Creation core. The entire right bottom side seems completely dead.

This has to be a bug or the 3m cooldown is completely unjustified. Tremor totem is not even a PvP flagged totem; just randomly excluded from the list.

I’d be happy with 3 wolves always granting 10% fire/frost/nature total and 10% physical each instead of 0/15/30 % of your ideal element. (same bonus to Elemental Blast, slightly weaker in some cases, but no randomness)

This needs to branch off somewhere, extra connections added to Spirit Walk / Gust, or maybe add root break to Thunderous Paws as an alternative, even if it is an awkward talent to use for that reason currently.

Currently it does less dmg than CL, and it’s on a 3min CD.
It’s only logical that an AOE spell on a 3min CD should be a lot more powerful than CL

The new version is still random, and has even less interaction with our class abilities.

Storm wolf - removed WF/SS dmg bonus (2 storm wolves = 89% increased WF & SS dmg), added Nature dmg bonus. – Shifting physical dmg to Elemental. BUT we lost the potential for big doomwind + storm wolf burst dmg.

Ice wolf - removed icy edge, which actually does substantial dmg since it procs from WF and Crash lightning on every target.
Replaced with increased frost dmg. – This doesn’t do ANYTHING unless we spec into Hailstorm. Huge nerf.

Fire wolf - Removed molten weapon, AND reduced fire dmg bonus from 20% to 15%. Huge nerf.

Take elemental spirit = Lose 30% physical dmg, gain 15~30% random elemental dmg which “might” be useful.

Do you have beta access? Just about every dungeon has mobs or a boss that AoE interrupt

Each ascendance for each spec has different uses for Pwave also the shaman class tree is intentionally almost devoid of throughput talents.

It’s almost entirely utility based because the class has always been a jack of all trades/utility bot.

Elemental Spirits/Wolves has such little interaction with spells that as of now, it looks like a requirement and major aspect of ST builds/damage.

great, another clueless normal raid player with 1700IO trying to counter my points.

1: They may have fixed the issue, so it’s marginally useful in pvp now. Still hardly worth the point.

2: factor in nature dmg buffs such as lightning rod & Electrified shocks. CL > Lava beam. Not to mention you get LESS maelstrom generation on this 3 min CD.

3: ??? talking about elemental spirits. NOT elemental blast.

4: You use instant casts to counter effects such as quaking or interrupt. NOT drop a BS totem and still eat half the lockout timer. Hope that’s not too advanced for 1700 IO.

Who cares about lava beam, asc has always been a single target CD. You clearly use it with stormkeeper on 4+ adds if you so happen to be ascended on a massive pack.

What is this reply? This is not the flex you think it is. We are playing a game, speaking from a competitive perspective. Rank & accomplishments matter. No, it does not immediately invalidate a perspective; however, if we are speaking in terms of validity for a competitive scene, obviously the player with higher accomplishments, PARTICULARLY a massive gap in accomplishments, is going to be taken more seriously by default. It doesn’t mean his argument is infallible, but the wealth of experience matters.

Actual class tree issues

  1. bottom right side of class tree is dead for dps specs, resto can make use due to having significantly more totems…so open up some of those totems to dps specs…(looking at you ancestral protection and earthen wall)

2). Thunderstorm is a pvp talent. Thundershock is a pve talent and augments thunderstorm. Lightning lasso is a pvp talent.

Thunderstorm should be a choice node between Thunderstorm or Thundershock with the extra points going into lasso after.

  1. windfury totem - why are we still using archaic buff totem rules? Make it an aura…as totems have evolved to be on use utility. Replacing this totem every new trash pack in m+ is obnoxious as is spending a talent point at expense of (already nerfed) personal dps. We have enough totems to press in their niche situations. Be done with this 30 yard garbage, or update the ability to automatically cast when entering combat like earthen rage did…a d make it moves to us once we are out of range.

4). Fix mana cost on elemental orbit. No reason for earth shield to individually increase in cost from taking it.
