The warlock trees have seen substantial improvement over the last few months.
Talent Trees are superfluous by their nature; either the talents are necessary for your job and will be taken without exception, or theyâre pointless fluff that you werenât going to take without having excess points to waste anyway.
Just design the actual classes with clear goals, break off the specs into alternative classes, and be done with this nonsense.
This would require effort when designing a system.
Itâs much better than previous systems. Canât say I had this much fun in past expansions with all my characters.
The fact they keep changing is because theyâre concerned with balancing. In the past, weâd be stuck with the same situation for a whole expansion.
Iâm happy with FFXIV working like this. Iâve never once played an XIV job and said âthis would be more fun with mutually exclusive choicesâ.
EDIT: I do prefer trees to rows, but just because rows take less thinking but include all the same frustrations and each iteration since MoP got worse, not better.
Also less headache-inducing from every angle; players donât have to reference odd sites to make sure they have perfect builds, and devs donât have to balance a class to serve across multiple roles.
Vanilla trees were better. These feel like they threw darts at abilities and slapped them together based on the order.
Yeah, the windfury totem should come as default for enhancement shaman. Was rather silly for them to make it a talent.
imo, interrupts should be baseline and not talent choices. But hey, my opinion could be wrong ![]()
