Talent Gripes

Why are there 6 total points on the right side of the Priest tree devoted to Fade? Why is binding heals located where it is in the tree? Why is Mindgames a PVP only talent? I am sure there are others (feel free to add).

Because they need to fill all of the points we’re given with something. Every useful ability is another ability that needs to be tuned so they cut those down a bit.

I think we get more points when we get to level up to 90.

Fade is an excellent spell for its defensive theme. I love it for how it keeps you from aggroing and can mitigate damage, etc. That said, all spells ought to have six talents devoted to them to make them ultra customizable. But then you’d have a zillion talents to choose from, and we’re talking brain drain.

Six points to get all Fade “perks” also seems a huge lot of talent points with a potentially minimum return on them depending on the content and your gameplay.

In the end, I think more talents are not a problem, but less talents is. For Disc, you have virtually very limited options for exceptionally great spells, and have to actually choose between some of the best ones at the expense of others, such as with PW: Barrier and Ultimate Penitence. Both are excellent spells, and having six options for each would totally rock.

I kind of love fade as is now.

Honestly, I’d rather have three fade talents that let me do another thing (now removes slows, now spawns an illusion hostile creatures will target, now grants DR) over a bunch of talents that are all “now do 3% more healing”, “now do 3% more healing AND damage”, “now have 3% more int (which is 3% more healing and damage)”.

One of those gives us fun options with each talent point, the other could be replaced by yet another stupid +9% aura buff.
