What’s hilarious here, (if not truly disturbing), is when people such as yourself actually believe that lingo makes any difference whatsoever in so far as what they deem beneficial to them, in the finality of their decision making process… smfh
Cause people would never consider laws when making decisions cause they are written in legal “lingo”
When they figure they can just as easily make further profit by wormOmg their way around it? No, they certainly wouldn’t
Ya because companies never enact planned obsolescence or purposefully feign ignorance in going bankrupt. Just look at Take 2 an their corporate warfare.
Corporations are all about having the biggest rug to sweep all their mistakes under. If law was ever effecting a company as large and rich as acti/blizz they would lobby an have it changed.
You are thinking to hard about this mate. Classic was just a cash grab and an IP flex to hold up in courts.
lol now go learn about the business judgement rule. good luck proving they’re intentionally letting it fail.
We know and can see that they’re not doing everything they should for classic wow. Don’t bring law into this if you’re not a lawyer.
I think someone spiked your Mountain Dew.
the real blizzard died a long time ago bro, only activision cronies remain now
Hanlon’s razer and Occam’s razer would be well used here.
Could it also be that things we enjoyed as a kid never taste quite the same when you’re an adult? Especially if it’s been unavailable for so long, and suddenly came back on the shelves. So if this bakery stopped making this cake for what? 13 years or so? And suddenly due to popular demand they bring it back, it will never fully taste the way you remember it.
not exactly…
they want it to succeed, they just aren’t willing to put any effort into it besides the bare minimum.
I won’t be returning for the TBC
No, because that’s just silly
The popularity of Classic is making the people who were in charge of the evolution of the game over the years were completely clueless. It must terrify the people who made the BIG (bad) decisions over the years to see that they have been proven wrong.
They don’t want Classic to fail BUT they don’t want it to eclipse Retail, which is exactly what is happening.
Never assume malice when sheer incompetence would suffice.
Makes sense.
Shareholders don’t want their speciality to be a 15 year old game, it’s looks bad.
I think classic is better then vanilla. Wow was not hardcore and i now realized why a college kid would get bored. My 10 to 20 hrs a week is just perfect. Big layered pops make finding raiders super easy. My biggest problem with classic was finding a guild. Now it is easy to dump toxic players since you know you can replace them. In vanilla you didnt kick toxic players if they showed up to raids but they eventually destroy the guild.
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity --Hanlon’s Razor
Maybe its more of classic is something to draw in more subs before shadowlands. Retail is where all the $$$ is due to mtx. When there is a lag in content in classic where are people likely to go? That’s right, back to retail. When they see a massive drop in players for both, then they will hype up the aq release. Players storm back to classic and the majority progresses through that content, just in time for the release of shadowlands. When the hype from ahadowlands dies, naxx may be released. Naxx will take players time to progress through. Only problem is, if shadowlands is as unpopular as bfa, or even close to it, then this system fails and players will eventually unsub alltogether. That is until tbc, where they see another cash cow of players on tbc pservers. TBC servers will hold people until the expansion after shadowlands.
I don’t think your business logic approach is appealing .
Investors, i.e. people and groups that put money into companies, expect those companies to work hard to increase the value of their shares.
If the argument being proposed is that it is in the best interest of Activision Blizzard to ensure that WoW Classic fails, then I’d be interested in some evidence of that. It seems (in my opinion) like an absolutely ridiculous claim.
