Take raid finder off group loot

PL > GL.

Bring back PL >AND< remove the loot notification from chat. No pressure to give away your loot if no one knows you received any loot.

Thank you captain. I clearly had no idea that’s what it was about when I said.

You’re the one rambling about whispers that’s irrelevant.

Whispering happens in both systems so it doesn’t matter. On top of the fact you said people were “terrified” making your point even more irrelevant.

Raid loot is group loot. That’s not changing.

Not even close. GL is by far superior.

No. PL is an inferior system and will need to stay out of raiding.

Better idea: convert LFR to a single player system.

Because that’s how they act. There are people here saying they need to turn off whispers or loot rolls should be hidden so they don’t need to experience the trauma of someone saying “hey do you need that?” Which is a perfectly reasonable question for people to be asking in a personal loot environment which again is the topic of this thread.

It’s irrelevant to the thread.

The thread is about returning Pl to LFR (which isn’t happening)

Its not if one of the arguments against personal loot is the fear of people whispering about gear that you may not need.

No one made the argument about being terrified of whispers. It’s annoying getting whispered but that’s not even a real argument against Pl.

PL is a terrible system and it needs to stay gone.

Literally the first response in this thread

I’ve had luck this bad with personal loot as well.

Personal loot system should be tweaked, so it actually is personal loot and not a background auto roll.

Perhaps each boss could drop a satchel to everyone that contains 1 token with a chance to also have a piece of gear. Maybe also a small chance for a mount or pet too just for funzies.

Tokens, at a certain quantity could then be used to buy gear from a vendor. How much you need to save up for 1 piece, I don’t know, but I’m sure the devs could figure out a reasonable number. :upside_down_face:

You still won’t win anything with personal loot as the system will do the roll for you so you will still end up with no loot. Heck I did 5 toons with LFR and only got 1 drop. I am not even mad. I was just there testing the different class and see which spec/class I like. Also is not like you didn’t get anything you have the vault.

Asked about it being disabled. Didn’t mention the word terrified at all.

Stop reaching especially on irrelevant points.

No. Personal loot is awful. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Group loot is perfectly fine.

That’s what the vault is for.

at least personal loot garunteed one person wouldnt win multiple items i had a run of amirdrassil and the DK won 2 items off the boss

Group loot is indeed just fine for premades. Not so much for queued content though.

The vault has no targeted acquisition. It’s definitely not the same as tokens and a vendor. It also (at least as far as I know) doesn’t have any bonus fun stuff.

Group loot is still better than PL in all content.

That’s the trade off for you choosing to not be in a coordinated group. And even then GL is still better.

Doing the content is how you target stuff.

I understand your viewpoint but personally, I still think neither GL or PL work very well in LFR.

try going for a full raid with getting no gear
and thats with a council system
stop whining about it. LFR isn’t going to be any better with personal as you will just spam ask people who win gear over you anyways

In mean you’re welcome to your opinion but LFR isn’t going to get special treatment.

Sounds a bit like you don’t care for LFR, and that’s of course okay, but that’s no reason to actively advocate against it’s ever improving for the people who do like it.

Ultimately the devs have clearly given a lot of thought to loot distrubution in various forms of content over the years and that’s why the method bounces around a bit. Sometimes with WAY too much RNG (like most pvp gear dropping from loot chests) and sometimes something more balanced (like badges of justice and valor back in wrath, that was nice).

Unfortunately the classic style loot WoW launched with has never been that great and has created incalculable amounts of drama and frustration over the years which is why they added things like vault or personal loot or badge vendors in the first place, but there is no need to stop there. They can still do better, for everyone really, and I look forward to seeing what they come up with in the future.
