Take pride in your work

Still making up crap I see.

So, you are working 24/7. Sorry, to hear you never get to rest, relax or play.

Again, these are not all mutually exclusive lol.

Ignorance truly is bliss and you must be so happy lol like euphoric

This is you.

Ah the good ol “no you” response.

Makes a baseless claim
Runs away when asked to provide proof
Doesnt understand that the word work isnt the same as job
Claims theyre able to play WoW without using brainwaves or activating muscles
Thinks relaxing playing and working are all mutually exclusive
Best response is “no you”

Really brought that 4d chess intelligence with ya today eh

Funny irony isnt it?
You have a hobby like some of mine
wood working or investing in gold, silver, etc, and people have respect for that stuff.
IF your hobby is video gaming, doesnt matter if youre a reasonable, responsible adult working a job, paying your bills, taking care of a wife and kids, some clown is going to roll their eyes and insult you about it, even if just pretending theyre joking.
Been seeing that crap for years lol.
I do play video games
this one for now
and I do mess around with building stuff out of wood and I do have a pretty decent horde of gold, silver and platinum currently.
Makes me laugh when one hobby is insulted while another is practically worshiped lmao

Go back to work already
 Wait you work 24/7

Makes up definitions and applies them randomly.

Gave you the proof but you choose to disregard.

Making up crap, which you are quite experienced at.

You have no response but: everything is work.

Keep on working at it!

I think putting effort into something you enjoy, regardless of what it is, is just fine.
I know guys who sit on creek banks all day long
sometimes DAYS at a time
catching fish only to toss them all back into the water.
What purpose does that serve?
What point is there to knocking a little ball around a four mile field of grass into a little hole? What did it get me?
No different than trying to play a video game well, IMO.

Its that “mine is better” mentality. Even when things are identical. Odd really.

Trade my dollar for your dollar. No! Mine is worth more!

Trying to get you to accept websters definition of the word instead of using your own.

Failed attempts i guess. I too like to use words that i dont understand the meaning to to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Smart people unite

I hate when you do that
 You should work on it
Wait you are too busy working 24/7.

At least some work can be worth more than other work.

Exactly.
its just like fishing or golf. I can put 100% in, take it very seriously, make a quasi career of it, do it very well and have some pride in my effort
or i can do both for fun, not really care about the end results, just to enjoy my off time and not care either way about how it ends up.

No one on either end should be railing against the other.
We all have different things we want to invest energy in to, thank god, otherwise we’d all be clones and all do the exact same things and thats kinda boring lol

how in odins name can you be loving on a paladin when youre literally posting on what might be the greatest class in the game?

oh
I see, lol. I thought something was off there.
Between unholy and Blood DK is definitely one of my favorite classes anymore.
Simple to play, tough as paladin, Id say, but a lot more colorful.

Ive tried to love paladin. I have one Zandalari paladin I farmed a really cool old Mists plate set for. Jesus
that one wasnt easy to finish. The shoulders were a frikkin nightmare to get, lol.
I love the character itself, but I just cant find the love for the class for some reason.
Same with priest. I know its a good class, but for whatever reason I just cant stay logged in with it.

I’m anti-competitive when it comes to MMOs. I deliberately set aside my competitive side and focus on a roleplaying/immersion mindset rather than min-maxing / score-chasing mindset.

I will never really “get good” and I derive most of my pleasure from content others dismiss as trivial.

I don’t think anyone really thinks its pathetic to simply try to do well in a video game or to feel good about doing so. Its more a response to the people who do that and then come here with arrogance to crap on others who don’t play at the same level, as if that’s the only way to enjoy a video game. Some people just play to relax and have fun.

There are things I like to do well. There are things you have to do well or they’re actively dangerous – barbell squats come to mind. (All free weights movements, really; you can hurt yourself badly if you don’t give them your full, undivided attention .)

For me, there are elements of WoW that I care about doing well, because my in-game experience suffers if I don’t. Others, I’m quite content to derp along because the consequences of failure are no big thing. This is mostly why I prefer solo play. The only time I waste is my own, and I’m OK with that.

You don’t have to be focused on being competitive with your performance to want to do well. In your case itd be more around your RP, a collector’s could be efficiently getting what they’re after, green faction pandas getting to max, etc.

Usually the dividing line is when people are braggadocious about it. Those that simply take pride in what they do don’t require that external validation to feel that pride, so you’re unlikely to ever hear about it from their own mouths, they let it speak for itself.

That quiet guy killing the meters, doing the mechanics, and not saying much is much more likely to be that kind of person than the guy on the forums talking about their parses. IE the former is validated by what they do, the latter is validated only when others are paying attention to what they do.

If I’m playing a game, I’m there to play the best I can, but that’s just for me. I try really hard not to be too concerned with how other people play. If you need to look down on someone to feel okay, then you’ve got problems. But in groups, I try to just keep my head down and do my job, because I can’t really control what anyone else does.
