Metzen isn't being cynical enough for me

With all due respect to Metzen and the work he has put into the franchise, I’m not really sure his optimism is warranted. I’m not at all saying I actually believe Gen Chat rumors. That said this wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest. Therein lies my issue. After the merger I wholeheartedly believe that Blizzard had no intention of becoming Activision, and for a long while there was a very very clear difference. Now? I see no difference, I think that’s my biggest take away from the layoffs. That’s the biggest source of my disappointment.

I am no longer upset.

I am not mad. I am not disappointed. I do not feel betrayed. I am not confused. For a while now, up until yesterday I felt these things. What is Blizzard doing? Why are they doing this? WHAT HAPPENED? It took me too long to realize. Blizzard is dead. They died when Activision "acquired" them. (bought, partnered, whatever you want to call it.)
