System whiners got their wish

I didnt like many mogs in SL at all…BUT…had they not had those absurd, exaggerated, OBNOXIOUS anima costs per item I might have actually gotten a few of them. As it was i think I worked for two mogs total in SLs.
The lowest of any expansion to date.

Get of here with your false dilemma. The game can have lots of content, and also not have overbearing systems.

If DF is truly alt friendly, people will play alts when main got nothing to do.

Yeah, I guess you put it much more succinctly than I did.

This is also a fear of mine lol. I imagine even more complaining that solo players have no progression paths will happen.

Actually, it’s more like if you want the best rewards you need to do commensurately difficult content. I don’t care if it’s solo or group content, but it shouldn’t be tracing a pattern on the ground a few times and lucking into BiS better than mythic raid quality gear. That was dumb and I’m glad it’s gone.

The game was just fine without all of these systems and you will be, too.

We always have things to do. They’re just casual, easy, relaxing things, such as levelling alts, collecting transmogs/mounts and achievements.

No, SOME people did. Some of those happened to be raiders. I’m a raider, I was thrilled with it being opened like that. Stop trying to demonize an entire group of people because you don’t like them.

Where Blizzard keeps falling on their face is tying player power to different content, but making it so you need all of the player power.

A simple solution is to make all content give the same player power, but tie the amount of it to the difficulty.

I am going to miss the systems. It gave me a reason outside of dailies to keep playing. Now its either Dailies, dungeons or raids.

For me it’s a godsent that I can just hit level cap and go to dungeons to farm gear, or BGs. It opens up so many opportunities for alts. AP farm was only really fun on one character.

I guess as an alternative they could have made AP farm account wide. That could work. But nothing should stand in the way of core WoW loop of getting to max level and gearing up.

It’d be so terrible to not have to feel like if you’re not playing 18 hours a day then you’re falling behind.

I feel like I’m going to spend a lot of time fishing in DF. That sounds really nice. :fishing_pole_and_fish:

Personally, I think that WoW is at it’s best when there isn’t an endless grind for power. When you’re done with your weekly “mandatory tasks” you can do literally whatever you want.

I can play alts, I can play Wrath Classic, I can play other games.

The constant feeling of NEEDING to log in every single day for 2-3 hours to maintain a character just to be able to mythic raid is really unfun.
