Yes, yes. The ability to hang out and have fun without stress will be great. When you have too many jobs hanging over your head that need to be done, it totally destroys the fun times.
Back in vanilla we would hang out and craft or run alts etc. And didn’t feel the need to frind AP all the time. Those were fun times.
Gonna have to pour cold water on this. My girlfriend bought us a house in FFXIV, this is someone who plays the sims religiously and has done so for decades, purely for the house building.
She got bored of player housing in FFXIV about 2 seconds after she was finished with ours. Mainly due to how bad the actual interface is in the game itself, but also because of how limited it really is.
Honestly I’m just glad I never have to do Torghast again.
I like endless power grinds, too. The issue with Legion and BfA is that they ended.
When people take issue with borrowed power systems, rarely is it the “power” part they take issue with. It’s that they’re borrowed.
Honestly FF house system sucks, TESO housing system is where it is at.
But somethign that just gives us something to do and have as ours.

The greater point is that both those games (among others) are making the attempt to fill that design space with their take on housing. WoW isn’t even trying.
Why would I want endless power grinds? I have a life. I also only want to do dungeons anyway so this is sounding fantastic to me. Now give me higher ilvl loot for doing 25’s so I never have to raid again and we’ll really be in business.
Well some people say the decline has been going on longer. In a previous discussion someone showed me a video where someone was showing stats from two or three releases back showing a decline. So you haven’t disproven the points I made.
Quick note, Trying to yell out the last word as your leaving the room then slamming the door doesn’t work that well with online forums. Think tennis where every time you hit the ball across the net there is the danger that the player on the other side will hit it back.

Good. A game with systems that never end is terrible design and predatory.
I am expecting the game do be dull after the initial burst of new content.
I had no issues of power grinds back in Legion and BFA. They are not really grinds to me. I just play the game. I came from the old WoW where grinds are never ending and I hate it. The introduction of Time Gates is heaven sent to me. Now, my never ending grinds has to stop. Just do enough content for the day or for the week and that’s it. It favors me more than ever now that I am Casual.
The Old WoW was heavy grind becoz there’s not much gold on quests as there were no World quests (Vanilla) or limited daily quests. But I took advantage when players invented GDKP. It was how predators take advantage of the prey. They let the prey do all the gold grinds and we predators steal their gold by carrying them and sold garbage epics to them. And we abused them while we overfill ourselves with gold. But Alas, Master Loot got banned after Wrath, bye bye GDKP. Now, we have to go back and grind again.
Modern WoW introduced raining of Gold. It’s really raining with Gold. Just do your dailies, weeklies, Tables (even use your cellphone) and get Paragon Chest. And that’s it. The problem with whiners is that they hate to play the game. They feel they were forced. When Shadowlands get rid of Power grinds thru Anima instead of Azerites, they should rejoice as they are no longer forced to farm for Azerites but instead they regarded Shadowlands as the worst expansion of all becoz Anima is garbage with no value. These whiners would remain not to play the game no matter what. They have tons of excuses even excuse that they have family. If time is very precious to them, they should stop playing videogames becoz video games are made to waste your time. WoW is a game and it would continue even if you become old. Is basketball going to stop when Lebron or Steph Curry become old? When you cant cope up with WoW, just stop playing it and retire. Dont feel entitled as it is a game whether you like its games or not.
And another thing… I mentioned this before. There are million players playing WoW. They have all differing ideas of what WoW should be. Just look at this thread. Each of us has a differing views of what WoW should be. There is no majority on each aspect of the game anymore. If Blizz satisfy one group, there would be an opposing group that would feel betrayed. Whatever direction Blizz goes, Blizz would find haters left and right. I bet you if Systems are deleted on this game, there would be whiners in the end who would complain that there’s nothing to do.
If I were Blizzard, they should stop overthinking. WoW is not a bad game. When I look at all current MMO’s in the market, I still find WoW the best out there… not FFIV, not ESO, not Lost Ark, not New World. They dont need to benchmark any of those games as they are all benchmarking WoW. WoW should not benchmark garbage games. WoW has to remain competitive. It has differing difficulties for all to cater everyone. Just keep it as is. Haters would just leave to play those other MMO’s and they would whine too on those MMO’s and some would return.
You thought Asmonbald and Bellulol left WoW when they left WoW then. They are back in WoW. Preach can stay away. WoW would live without him. They just want attention to keep their viewers. I dont need to listen to any of them. I just play the game and judge it myself.
Not exclusively. I try to watch a variety of them to hear different points of view.
There’s an entire community called HGXIV that are housing junkies. They’re constantly experimenting with the limitations of the system, creating new builds, and even offer commissions. Your GF may have gotten bored, but there are plenty of other people that love housing in FFXIV and invest a lot of time into the system. Is it perfect? No. But it’s a positive addition to the game overall and feeds into other things like crafting. Housing in WoW would 100% be a great addition, especially if they could take learnings from games like FFXIV and create a system that’s better.

WoW can’t remain competitive if it just sits on its laurels, which is what it’s been doing over the last few years. That’s why games like FFXIV have caught up with and started to surpass WoW. The game absolutely needs to change, because “keeping it as is” is what has sent WoW into its downward spiral. As much as YOU might like extensive time-gating and borrowed power, those systems overall are hurting the health of the game.
