I’m not surprised she felt it was a set-up either, because the novel, novellas, and in game dialogue have shown us she has some serious conspiracy/paranoia issues.
Some of it justified, some of it not. I’m tired of people handwaving away the bad because they happened around the time that other actions did which could loosely be justified.
Like just in what you said. Sure, Anduin did not fulfill his bargain. So you could off-hand justify killing the defectors. But what about the ones that were running back to her and her rangers for safety. The ones that weren’t trying to defect.

Edit: For your other comment after I submitted this. I agree about alliance writing. It’s a shame they have to be dumbed down to raise some horde characters up. Maybe they shouldn’t have been made so powerful to begin with, but their abilities have been butchered from what we know and are told.
