Not so popular LOL. Soon as you say Slylvanas is evil you will have 50 loyalists defending her to the grave. She’s overrated, and a mary sue, is what she is, with too much plot armor that she won’t ever die and Blizzard’s trying to convince us she isn’t so bad.
Oh Dear!! So this character attempted genocide, used chemical warfare and did other nasty nasty things and what happened to her? Nothing, she didn’t pay for any of those crimes and those so called “flaws” mean nothing because darling they are mary sue flaws easy to over come and fight thought and everything goes her way.

Jaina is good. Tyrande is good. Valeera is good, Ysera is good, Yrel is good, Alleria is fine, Alextraza is good, Katherine is fine, and so many others. Jaina, Tyrande, and Yrel are the only others I have heard people call Mary Sues, not the others.
Slylvanas, your precious Queen is indeed a Mary Sue with plot armor the size of Argus.
This is literally saying people are sexist to Captain Marvel but pretending Xena, Buffy, and Wonder Woman don’t exist and were never called Mary Sues or whatever else.

The reason was the night elves were violent and aggressive. It was only a matter of time before Tyrande got a little too menopausal and decided to genocide a horde race of her choosing.

wow triggered. Read 1000 definitions of Mary Sue and fine one that describes her. She ain’t my precious, I was tired of her years ago. Yes she has plot armor, but all her imperfections and her being an evil killing machine prevent Mary Sue from being used here.

It dosnt really work as good as hardcore ley crystals but if your a nerd wanting to do the safer option thats fine too.
I messed around with a spinal surgery haptic simulator back in college. It was neat to mess around with those things. Kind of surprised they haven’t taken off in the adult entertainment industry with lower cost options.
Superman can be very boring because most people don’t understand how to write for him. With Superman you either need to write sympathetic side characters and periodically genuinely kill one off (or cripple or whatever, some kind of permanent consequence) who can represent his vulnerability, or you need to write problems for him that he can’t solve by throwing them into the sun. This means things like moral dilemmas and ethical challenges. Most writers struggle with that.

Technically superman is weak to magic. Sylvanas uses magic. Therefore she could probably win as long as she doesnt get hit with a laser.
Well it would be quite a ruckus having to create new villains in Metropolis every month due them being a “one hit wonder” and killed off after one issue
Plus what does being an elf have to do with gender? Mary Sue gets tagged every time a female character gets near invincible op powers. Jaina is the closest on your list to a true Mary Sue, Wonder Woman second, all others are far from perfect. That’s the issue here, not the gender wars, it’s that people don’t even know what a Mary Sue is.
I mean kind of. If Yrel had been denied on her application to art school she would definitely be Hitler.
I actually think that could be turned into an interesting story. With Superman constantly just one shotting all the street level criminals who come through, but then his mysterious inaction when high level white collar criminals wipe out the pensions of entire populations of people and walk away richer for it.
You over estimate Kal El’s abilities.
Ignoring either ones “powers”, the reason for Superman’s enduring appeal is moral fortitude and strength of character. In a world filled by villains and anti-hero edge-lords, Kal El is the last boy scout. An honestly and truly good person. Someone you can look up to for who he is, regardless of what he can do.
If the Joker were hanging from a cliff, Batman would likely just walk away. However, if Lex Luthor was hanging from a cliff Superman would still save his life.
No compare that to Sylvanas who’s narcissistic and self-righteous beyond any and all reason. Volatile and prone to temper tantrums, and throws every “ally” she’s ever had under the bus. Not a real endearing character.
