"Sylvanas" the Hardest Name to Spell?

Everyone seems to get it wrong. I see "Sylvanus" and "Sylvannas" as the most common mistakes.

Watching as everyone misspells "Sylvanas" reminds me of when everyone would misspell "rogue" with "rouge", and "reagent" with "regent".
Slyvenus isn't even a hard name.
If she's a raid boss you should only be allowed in the raid if you can spell her name properly. Like do one of those "Are you sure you want to delete? type it out so we know you're for real." pop ups and you can't alt tab out of the game.

I admit I catch myself typing it wrong far too often.
They are all just practicing for if / when horde get undead elves. It will be like Legolas all over again.
Sylvanus fits her perfectly though.

My favorite misspell however, will always be Sylveranus.
Just wait until eitrigg gets main stream content. I guarantee you people will miss an i and a g.
I see "Slyvanas" an awful lot, too.

I cured myself of the double-n error, but it took effort.
No, it's definitely spelled Slyvanus.
Sylvanus and Nathanus. Their names go perfectly together.

idk why....

but i now have a mental picture of sylvanas in a sailor moon outfit....
i know her name and usually i can spell it but for whatever reason when im talking to the hubby about what she is doing i call her

Stillvanus

no idea why its not cute nor funny
A lot of people type things phonetically, and don't bother to make sure it's correct, or just don't care. It's the Internet after all.

Or in the case of Sylvanas, most think they're being clever replacing the last a with a u. They're not.
Or shorten her name like i do for basically everyone.

Just call her sylvie.

If you spell "reagent" without the "a" there's a 100% chance you're also pronouncing it wrong.

Usually when you grow up speaking a language without ever having to learn it, you can gloss over exceptions or special cases.

As someone who actually learned English (2nd language), I can totally see people who would say reagent as "reegent" because "reaper" sounds like "reeper".

"Sylvanus"
You know this is a problem when a human paladin is making a thread about it.
My roots are in plant biology. So many plant names contain part of her name. It kinda means "of the forest" (from the Latin) and is a common epithet in plant names.

It's so common, it's hard to not spell right.

It's just a step away from the wonderful 200+ year old Copper Beaches (Fagus sylvatica) common here in New England.
