Sylvanas isn't a Mary sue

I don’t think Sylvanas is hot but Thallysra or Talanji are

well most of her fans do, and thats the major reason she has a fanbase to begin with.

The goblins from silithus? If that’s the case, he is still neutral because he did it with Azeroth’s wellfare in mind, instead of alliance’s wellfare.

which is creepy because she is a decomposing corpse

Instead of using controversial terms like Mary Sue, I’m going to go with something Simpler.

Boring.
Sylvanas is Boring

I Enjoyed Sylvanas mostly in cataclysm when she took some of her biggest turns towards being an unfeeling supervillain.

“What difference is there between you and the Lich King now?” Etc. Etc.

From that point on, to me, It was clear that Sylvanas was going to be a Villain. Now it just feels like we’ve waited too long to get to the punch.

It’s boring.

It’s boring to see Sylvanas get away with Burning Teldrassil after an established peacetime between the Horde and Alliance.
It’s boring to see her get cornered in Lordaeron only to get away scott free.
It’s boring to see her clearly acting in her own interests all the time, and have everyone except the player act ignorant.
It’s boring to see her one-shot lore characters with never before seen powers. Before getting away once again.

She’s boring.
Everything that comes out of her character is predictable. It has been since Cata.
At least back then she had personality. Now I find myself wondering, how long do we have to wait for someone to put an axe in her head.

In context of this particular fantasy world with many characters with such a high power level, I don’t see anyone being a Mary Sue. Also none of the characters are perfect. They all make mistakes.

The guy asked for non-player characters who adore her. There’s none really.

Yeah so what about it?

That’s actually one of the best battles. But of course people don’t want to accept it because they don’t actually understand the “lore” yet preach about writing. You do understand the thing that made Arthas so powerful was Frostmourne, right? You also understand the Helm of Domination doesn’t do much besides allow the user to control the undead Scourge, right? That’s literally all it does.

She doesn’t really own him. She runs away from him until she can trap him using the abilities she’s gained from the Jailer. An entity millions of times more powerful than the Lich King.

No. It’s not. Arthas was easily turned because of Frostmourne. Bolvar just wears the helm. He can easily block out his voice and do what he wants. He’s also less vulnerable to be controlled by Ner’zhul because of… oh yeah, HES NOT UNDEAD.

TL:DR Blame the victims.

TL:DR I’m going to ignore all the lore from WC3 on.

I’ll address one point, and one only.

Neither was Arthas.

Arthas was undead. Frostmourne led him to carve out his heart.

It’s really cute how much you fanboy over Sylvanas OP, and that’s another reason why people hate her so much. Kinda like the reason people hate Asmon, because of his fans that follow around them.

You want evidence of mary-sue? Fights Bolvar, the lich king. Doesn’t even get a SCRATCH. Fights Saurfang, one scratch! Doesn’t even lose her eye.

Anduin being brought up is hilarious.

No way a writers Mary Sue comes out of the Lorderan campaign looking that incompetent

Is this what you tell yourself every night while caressing her full sized poster?

Malfurion just sleeps or gets captured nowadays, the dude is way past his prime, leave him alone.

I mean, he spent the entirety of Cataclysm… trying to untwist a tornado…?

Seriously the OP is clearly a moron or trolling…

Except she isn’t a Mary sue by the definition people just enjoy their buzzwords

Neither are any of the Alliance you listed…

They definitely are especially Malfurion and Jaina

Wait, the same Malfurion that was defeated by single blow from Suarfang? The same Malfurion that could do nothing while his people’s lands were destroyed, while they burned to death as he one the verge of death? Are we talking about the same Malfurion?

As for Jaina, he is a writer prop just like Sylvanas. Her power grows and shrinks to fit the writers need. I mean where was that super floating boat with ice cannons when we attacked Dazar’alor? Oh it most have been in shop that day…
